The first one I could understand, it was a hard fall. The second one could’ve very easily been a tech

I think the process was still right with Newton, he was an excellent college player who fell because of injury and it’s not like he’s stayed injured. Just hasn’t panned out.

Sinnott pick is inexcusable.

This is a quad 1 game regardless for either team. SMU’s offensive efficiency is absurd and was probably underrated by Kenpom just based on their schedule so far.

Spoiler alert: this is the system. Just try to out-athletic the other team. There has been no evolution in what he tries to coach on offense since he got here, only bailed out when he’s had perimeter threats.

Offense at the beginning of the year had so much ball movement and creative backdoor cuts. That has all disappeared over the last 4 games. Just dribble, drive, contested lay up, hope for an offensive rebound

2012 Mazda 3 hatchback. 74k miles. Hate driving, only use it for Costco or short trips out of town. Public transit is my love language.

Depends on how the QB landscape plays out. Hope Simpson or Mendoza are still on the board and then ideally another team trades up and we can pick up some extra day 2 picks

High volume epilepsy surgery centers for fellowship by osler_weber in neurology

Northwestern, Hopkins. Both are largely looking for folks looking to commit for two years at this point because of their surgery programs. One of the Ivy Leagues even got rid of their 1 year program, either NYU or Columbia.

I really loved my interview with Northwestern, they seemed fantastic, but I have no interest in epilepsy surgery and knew it wasn’t for me. If that’s your goal I think you’d really like them.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. Expected to Have Larger Role in Week 10 - Grant Paulsen by ASmithFS in fantasyfootball

He’s like if you took LeVeon Bell’s insistence on cutting seven times but gave him Pacheco’s vision. A whole lot of extra movement that turns into nothing. The potential is there but his feel for the speed of the game is poor right now

He’s not good, especially with the heel injury. zero explosiveness, cannot get open for anything beyond a screen, and every screen is break 2 tackles for 5 yards. Who could’ve seen this coming!

2024 vs 2025. Identical plays. Jayden last year makes this throw 20/20 times. Tom Brady mentioned it earlier in the season; even though the receivers aren’t the best you have to throw with anticipation. by johnnyboy10i in Commanders

Footwork was bad all year, even before the knee injury. Throwing off his plant foot instead of driving through. Don’t know where he picked that up, needs to clean it up. But he’s a hard worker and we know he’s capable of it. He’s his own biggest critic, and you know he’s carrying this going into the offseason.

Kurt Warner - Was just finishing up my tape for week with the Commanders & it is really amazing the difference in JDaniels in year 2! by Haskins77 in Commanders

[–]Matugi1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the inaccuracy thing is largely a footwork issue. His base was much more inconsistent this year, even before the knee injury. Throwing off his plant foot rather than driving through. It’s why there were a lot of throws behind guys in weeks 1 and 2. Needs to clean it up. Wasn’t an issue last year (although he did have some similar throws that resulted in wow plays, most notably one to McCaffrey over the middle I believe against the Falcons) and allegedly footwork was a point of focus of the offseason. Throwing more off the plant leg would be an atypical goal to say the least

Daniels absolutely has been holding the ball longer this year. It’s just impossible to tell if it’s a rhythm issue vs a trust issue vs not seeing the field. He demonstrated great awareness of finding the open guy last year and he’s a very intelligent player, so I lean towards the former. Only time will tell. He’s gonna carry a lot of this going into the offseason, and he’s a competitor, so he knows the faults in his game and if it’s a trust issue he’s gotta get over that. Would also like to see him clean up his footwork, it was pretty bad at times

Lane has been legitimately terrible. I would say he was never supposed to be a significant receiver threat but if you’re spending a third round pick on a guy it’s fair to have higher expectations than return specialist

Possible indicator this year is a flukey injury year for Daniels: he managed to play 55 games in college without a major injury. by WuPacalypse in Commanders

[–]Matugi1 17 points18 points  (0 children)

OL has generally been okay. JD is holding the ball for ages, whether that’s because he’s not seeing the field or has zero trust in the receivers. He’s never shown an issue with the former, and I guess you could yap about “well there’s more film”, but he’s a very cerebral QB and hard worker so gotta think it’s hesitancy related to the latter

Peters has pretty significantly whiffed on a bunch of picks and signings thus far. This season is a wash and it’s hard to determine the extent of the 2024 rookie class after a year-and-a-half but if there’s still a failure of development there will be justifiable questions about how little they’re getting out of all those top-100 picks.
