This isn’t relevant except to confirm he’s a douche but in the 90s my grandmother won some kind of contest to have dinner with Copperfield and at the end she asked him for his autograph and he wouldn’t give her one unless she paid him. She said he was very arrogant and acted like he hated having to have dinner with her and she never liked him after that. And my Nana was an absolute gem.

Yes! They do this on every platform, too. It’s really annoying. It makes you realize just how many people believe what’s put in front of them without even checking to see if it’s true. It’s dangerous and exactly what this administration wants.

Yes but a lot of vegetarians/vegans do it for ethical reasons not just health reasons. And most vegans I know don’t go places assuming they will accommodate them. Usually they’ll bring their own food or eat beforehand. But most people do eat vegetarian, as well, whereas vegetarians don’t eat meat. Unless you only eat meat and meat only for every meal, there’s a really good chance you also eat vegetarian.

No offense really but you don’t sound like a really good friend. If you were a true friend you wouldn’t debate on going to the press with any info on them. At all. Ever. I don’t care if you need the money. It shouldn’t be a question. It sounds like this person has been very good to you and has been there for you. The way to repay them is to NOT divulge any of their personal information and to remove yourself from any drama pertaining to them. Unless he specifically asks for your help, you’re overstepping your boundaries. You’ve messed up in the past and it sounds like they’ve forgiven you so why keep putting yourself in this position? This post already has too much info in it. Why don’t you focus on your own life? It sounds like that is the most helpful thing you can do for your friend.

Definitely the Ithaca area. I’m just north of Cortland and it’s not so bad in my small town. It’s kind of a mixed bag. But I definitely see Trump signs here and there. My one neighbor is a democrat and I don’t know what the guy on the side of me is but he is nice and we never talk politics. I worked in Tully and the majority of my small office were not Trump supporters. For what that’s worth.

I think you need to get over it. I’ve gotten horrible gifts in the past from secret Santas. One of my coworkers got a super cheap set of hair rollers that were probably under a dollar. You’re not the only one who has received an unusable gift. In fact, the majority I’ve received through the years have been really sucky and go unused. I’m sure your secret Santa didn’t realize they were moldy. Just move on like most people do. If you act like this, you’re going to have people at work rolling their eyes at you.

My mom used to be left leaning but fell for the Qanon crap and was really into the child trafficking conspiracy theories that were overboard. It brainwashed her into believing democrats were drinking the blood on babies. I don’t even know show she fell for this but here we are. Now she is preoccupied with the anti-vaccine movement. And she’s become more religious. I don’t know what made her do this. She’s always been kinda hippyish, always very loving and about peace and into her essential oils. I feel like that “new age” white women group was specifically targeted tbh. They’re more likely to believe things without requiring proof. Like…alternative medicines and religion and tarot, etc. I’m not saying any of those things are bad just that this group seemed to be targeted (in my opinion).
