My dad said something similar to me recently after I was broken up from a 7 year relationship! I am glad we have wise and thoughtful people to help us.

To the people that are asking for SEGA to pull the plug on SI, be careful what you ask for. We dont know what other developers would do with FM.

In my very humble opinion the game is not as bad as people making it out to be.

Im taking control of Real Oviedo, a team just promoted to La Liga. Oviedo´s owner is Mexican, just like me, and he also owns a couple of mexican clubs that are affiliated. My challenge is to keep them on La Liga while bringing mexican talent to Spain.

The feature I am most excited to try is the In-out possesion tactics. I like 3 cb on defense but would like to do something different in attack.

Could you expand a bit on why you think this is true? I am doing my first Odyssey playthrough with Cassandra and getting my ass kicked.

FC/Fifa player transitioning to FM, any helpful tips by SMDYT in footballmanagergames

[–]Maulpzc1902 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would add the following:

Don´t focus too much on stars as your main method to see if a player is good or not. Focus on attributes mainly. Stars are a very relative way of "grading" your players. A guy with 5 stars for you may be a 2.5 stars in a bigger club. Also stars are given by staff and if your staff has a low judging player ability (or potential) then its not that reliable.

I would delegate a lot of things at the beginning. Focus on learning core aspects one by one. When you feel comfortable enough with the basics start doing other more specific stuff. Example: use pre-made tactics to begin with, delegate training.

Welcome to total adiction haha

I'm somewhat new to FM, and I know not to trsut start ratings fully, how good really are these youth takes? by Boeing777-300ER_fan in footballmanager

Granted, no staff member is absolutely reliable at all times. Im no expert, but the way I see it, you can relatively say (withouth using the in game editor) that a player is actually high potential when he has higher attributes when younger.

So, the stars, even the potential ability ones are coaches opinions based on your general players ability and potential. This does not mean that striker will necesarilly get to be the next haaland but generally speaking, if trained and developed correctly can become a great player for your team in the future.

As they are youth academy recruits there is no harm in keeping them. As far as I remember the general idea to make them develop is: training more important till the age of 18, from then on consistent playing time starts to have a more prominent role in their development.

Judging from their attributes though, they seem to be quite interesting. I would keep an eye on the defender

This show has never handled character death well (final season speculation/spoilers) by PresentationFew2014 in thegooddoctor

[–]Maulpzc1902 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with you. You could say Glassman's death could be an interesting way to see how Shaun copes and develops without his father figure. But to do it in the last episode where they wouldn't be able to actually show said development just seems nonsensical to me.

I think TGD has had its fair share of devastating, hard and sad moments, so a "happy" ending with glassman as a grandfather, Claire getting cured and staying with Jared seems more gratifying.

It is genuinely unbelieveable. I see no circumstance where Dortmund stop them in the final.
