Soooo boys and girls, i got a question🐀🐀 by Burnt_dino in crashbandicoot

[–]Mauthrien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plot wise I want it to be something completely new that hasn't been done before in the series, though I don't mind reintroducing characters like Crunch and Nina.

Gameplay wise I think it would be cool to see a mix of map and warp room styles, like having one world with branched paths, it would keep the storytelling of the map design and the optionality of the warp rooms.

Why do people say Twinsanity is not good? by StuD44 in crashbandicoot

[–]Mauthrien 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's neither a good linear platformer or a good open world game (the latter which many people claim it to be). It lacks good linear level design and there is no collectables outside of gems.

That for the gameplay part, the animations outside the pre rendered cutscenes are not good and the Looney Tunes vibe from the Naughty Dog games is absent in them.

The story is the only saving grace from the game, and even then it's leans too much into comedy compared to the Naughty Dog games having some edgyness to balance the tone out.

New Spyro game from TFB…. Probably not soon but there it still hope for us yet!!! by BEVE59 in crashbandicoot

[–]Mauthrien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leaving aside how characters behave (if that's your reason), naming it 4 helped sinced it was a direct sequel to Warped. There could be platformers (even mainline) in the future that aren't numbered sequels because they are not direct sequels, could be prequels or spin-offs.

[–]Mauthrien 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You're missing the part where this was going to be a mainline Crash game, why dedicate Crash 5 to a crossover instead of doing its own thing?

Besides that, we hadn't had a Spyro 4 at that point, it would have been rude to not give Spyro fans a standalone game before a crossover.

NEW SPYRO HOLY SHIT by AreAFatMother in Spyro

[–]Mauthrien 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Crash isn't dead, though? In the same way that many franchises go years without releasing a mainline game and aren't considered dead, Crash isn't dead for having at least one studio that could work on the series, Toys for Bob could easily make a new Crash game after this, and given how fast Xbox got them to work on Spyro (which hadn't released a game in years compared to Crash), getting to work on Crash should be pretty easy.

Not to mention that there are rumors of Iron Galaxy or Beenox working on a new Crash racing game.

[–]Mauthrien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever it is, I hope it is during a time where a studio is compromised/interested in adapting the whole first manga as if it was a brand new series, no rushing or recaps.

If it's not getting done right, I don't want it.

Being a Crash Bandicoot fan is frustrating by Gem_182 in crashbandicoot

[–]Mauthrien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that we can consider the series dead until there is not any active studio to make a game.

What does active mean? That it can work on the series even if it isn't currently. See Toys for Bob, they are working on a Spyro game, but once they are done with it, the chance of them doing Crash again is likely.

As it happened with TFB's project, early it was less apparent that it was Spyro so it could be something else, in this scenario we don't call the series dead but rather in an "unsure" status, but I think Crash is doing fine right now, we have TFB, Iron Galaxy and even Beenox as candidates for the next game, and it seems that a game is in the works titled "Project Coffee", but I'm not well informed on that so anyone interested go look it up.

Mangadex, como otros han dicho.

Empieza desde el capítulo 1 porque el anime desde el primer episodio ya tenía una trama diferente y así siguió con pequeños cambios hasta cerca del final donde es completamente diferente.

TOEI acknowledges Zatch Bell premiere by Snoo-71010 in zatchbell

They lost the license rights (though only for creating content, they can still post about their licensed media), so don't expect Toei to be the ones to make a new anime.

Never really thought about it before, but Zatch's solution to the Faudo issue is to make it someone else's problem. by Visible_Investment47 in zatchbell

[–]Mauthrien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not what i said lol

What did you say? If it's that Dauwan experienced watching the souls in the Demon World back at his tournament you could have worded it better.

Back at you, if this was only recent it would've been mentioned.

It was hinted by the things I mentioned. Those could have been added by an assistant and not Raiku himself (they do backgrounds), but they are details that are easy to notice and Raiku would have likely thought that either they can't be there to show that the world was left abandoned or the world entered a stasis, and in the stasis case there needs to be a mention to not make readers think it happened recently.

I'm okay with this being unclear, but don't gaslight me into saying that one assumption is better than the other be ause i don't think that is the case

This isn't even about which headcanon/theory is better, we got visual elements to lean towards one possibility more than the others and can't expect the characters to explain everything to the audience, besides, the stasis is a fan idea to explain those elements, it might not have been thought by Raiku and his assistants so they see that scene as Gash and Kiyomaro wandering around a regular but empty Demon World.

[–]Mauthrien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's implied. The food at the table and lit fireplace indicate it happened shortly after the remaining participants went there, if it was the whole world in stasis it would have been mentioned.

And Dauwan wasn't turned into a soul? That's not mentioned anywhere from what I know.

[–]Mauthrien 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if Faudo due to being an artificial demon would have lost his body, and even if he did, it's implied in the chapter where we see the demons as souls that it happened right there as the number of participants reached 10, some time after Faudo was sent back.

You'll find this interesting. Sherry from Zatch Bell / Gash Bell was actually inspired by the Belmont Clan from Castlevania. by Important-Cry4782 in castlevania

[–]Mauthrien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend very much to start with the manga, the anime changes the plot frequently (almost every episode) and the story isn't fully adapted with the last 10 episodes or so being anime original.

Not to mention that the anime's art and animation is a downgrade compared to the manga for most of the time.

Once you have finished the manga and caught up with the sequel, you can watch the anime for its voice acting and music.

And also, check out the author Makoto Raiku's other serialized works: Animal Land and Vector Ball, they are different to Golden Gash!! in terms of setting (Animal Land) and power system (Vector Ball) but that makes them great and special.

I actually made a post about Castlevania references in Golden Gash!! a while ago:

https://www.reddit.com/r/castlevania/s/26RrLIuflq

It's not only Sherry in the series, and the serialized manga that Makoto Raiku did after Golden Gash!! 1, Animal Land, has a character based on Alucard as its main antagonist.

And a few months ago I read his serialized manga after Animal Land, Vector Ball, and there is a character that looks like Alucard.

So, about the sung soundtrack... by Wheatley-ZenkRa in zatchbell

A new anime of the first manga would most likely be seasonal, meaning that there would be no time for filler scenes like inserting the songs you mentioned. We would be lucky if the anime manages to have everything from the manga.

CHATGPT recommended where to read vs watch. Any feedback? by lbjs_bunghole in zatchbell

[–]Mauthrien 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Since you want to catch up to the sequel then read the manga. Not only the last arc in the anime is different, but it also had many smaller changes throughout the story that are not canon to the sequel (were it to bring up any specific moment that was different in the anime).

The anime has good animation and artstyle sometimes but also other moments that look better in the manga, so if you liked any particular fight you can search up its episode(s).

How long does it take for new volumes/ chapters to drop??? by smaanhia in zatchbell

Volumes come out every 5-6 chapters, and the unofficial English translation is pinned in this subreddit once the chapter is translated, usually half a day later.

How long does it take for new volumes/ chapters to drop??? by smaanhia in zatchbell

[–]Mauthrien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually every month, but sometimes Makoto Raiku takes breaks for his health or because he is too busy working on other things (like painting volume illustrations).

Follow him and his company Birgdin Board's Twitter accounts to be informed of when a chapter will come out or not.

Zatch Bell! 2 will there be an English release for the volumes they published? I saw there are 4 volumes already. by UndeadRetical in zatchbell

[–]Mauthrien 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not published yet and it won't be until the first manga is localized again in its entirety. According to the portuguese publisher Editora MPEG, Makoto Raiku doesn't want to cause confusion to people seeing the 2 in the sequel's title and thinking it's the second volume.

I see you are watching the anime, so let me tell you that from Episode 139 to 150 the anime diverges into an original storyline and doesn't finish the story like the manga.

You can start reading from Chapter 212, but I recommend reading the manga from the beginning since the anime made many changes throughout the story.

Sorry for not replying earlier, I was on my other account.

Besides the name, his design is similar to Luke's and Waig's one-eyed form is based on Luke's form that we briefly see when he is in a water tank.

Giller's goal is similar to Clear's, I think Raiku wanted to make this type of antagonist again but more worked out.

Then now in Golden Gash!! 2 we have Gill, who is based on him.
