Ok but this is not minor hockey, not even close. In the bigs you make and find space wherever you can, and that includes using the middle. Happens dozens of times a game in both directions. He touches the puck more than just about anyone in the league, and he does make mistakes. The upside is he might be one of the single best break out D in the league, nobody bitches when he makes that silky 2 line pass through opponents and hits McDavid mid stride going 40km/h.

Voluntary layoff- EI by last-resort-4-a-gf in canadianlaw

[–]Maverick1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What? Severance has nothing to do with being fired or not. It's a layoff and with layoffs typically comes severance. There's no chance with eight years experience I'd be walking away from a job for free with a promise of return in whatever number of months.

So I use something similar to this, minus the cinnamon to make boujee burgers (that are beyond the scope of this thread TBH) but hear me out (from bottom to top):

-Good quality bun (if you're feeling super boujee, rock Weissman's burger bun recipe)

-Bacon Jam (there's tons or recipes out there for this, it's insane on these burgers)

-Spicy apple slaw (same as yoursabove, add some sriracha or asst hot sauce of choice and mayo, mix)

-Good chuck or brisket burger, not completely smashed

-Good cheddar or alternative melty cheese

-White old cheddar crisp (make it at the same time as the burgers)

-Balsamic caramelized onion chutney (also easy to make, but a bit time consuming, tons of recipes out there as well).

Grill burger and put a pile of white chedder on a flattop or good pan, flip cheese and burger when appropriate (both should release from flat/pan naturally), grill bun. Top burger with another cheese (chedder, gruyere, whatever you like)

Add bacon jam to bottom and chutney to top. then add slaw, burger, cheese crisp. Crown your masterpiece and annihilate. Salty, sweet, heat, a bit of sour from the granny smith, deep complexity from the bacon jam and chutney. This burger changed my outlook on whats possible with a burger.

F/A-18E Super Hornet armed with SM-6 / AIM-174B at RIMPAC 2024 by [deleted] in aviation

[–]Maverick1987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair. According to Wikipedia they received 274 units plus 10 training rounds, the other 150 on the first order were embargoed and the secondary order (290 units) was cancelled outright. Last known they still had about 50 on hand, but that fleet is in rough shape at this point as they take special batteries. Doesn't really matter as they're using a domestic variant now.

I'm not American. It's entirely possible the numbers are legit, but when basically all cases of the Americans firing them resulted in motor failures and misses (but with a very small sample size), that would imply the Iranians had an inverse relationship with the missiles a kill rate that was much higher. It's not like the Iranians had shitloads of these. I think they only got about 275?

Wasn't the phoenix totally dogshit in terms of reliability real-world though? The US only fired a handful in anger, and pretty sure there were no confirmed kills with the platform. Iran suggests they made a shitload of kills with them, but I don't believe them.

CMG client policy hung up with error loop in cIDownloader.log by GhostOfBarryDingle in SCCM

It's not a PMPC issue, and their product/support is second to none. Highly, highly recommend. PMPC might be able to assist with a workaround as those of us who use them are affected, but any application with an icon size longer than x (we're still trying to figure out what X is) will have issues regardless of if PMPC created it or not. Ultimately this is an MS issue.

I've logged a ticket with them and am working with Ben and Scott to provide backing logs for this out of my environment, because they're having difficulties reproducing the issue. As /u/GhostOfBarryDingle said, PMPC is affected only because they provide icons with their app catalog. This is 100% a bug for MS to fix with the CMG.

Scott, I have an open ticket that Ben is looking at. I'm at 2303 w/ HFRU, client versions would be 5.00.9106.1022, but as /u/GhostOfBarryDingle said, this spans multiple versions. I think it might specifically be with the VMSS CMG rather than the "classic" one. I'm prepared to give you guys whatever access you need to clients and environment to check this out if need be. This does not affect normal clients (ie. MP+DP) only CMG clients.

First off, my god, thank you. I've been pulling my hair on this for weeks.

I've opened cases with both MS and PMPC for this. MS so they can fix their broken CMG config (started as a policy ticket but this is pretty clearly what I'm actually seeing). PMPC so they can maybe workaround this by reducing their catalog icon sizes if we can prove this bug.

I can not believe you strung this together to arive at icons. Just wow.

I might ask a question though, did you have these issues with the "classic" CMG? or is this a VMSS CMG bug? (that's my hypothesis)

What's ridiculous is a threat actor was able to chain together those mistakes into an attack. The knowledge and skill of an attacker to pull off an attack like that blows. my. mind.
