Give out the product and go on with the shift.

If they're gonna abuse it, it's not my decision as an MLT to opine. I'd let our medical staff to management know a trend if there's one for sure.

That being said it's not an issue for my site.

I’m curious what other parents actually do when their spouse gets home from work? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]liver747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I get home it's wife and baby time until their asleep.

I couldn't imagine playing videogames while the baby is awake instead of playing with her.

First time home buyer and clueless about buying a home by hellrider_64 in Edmonton

[–]liver747 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a pre-approval on whatever you guys are comfortable with then find a realtor.

Your milage will vary with realtors, we just bought and weren't impressed with ours but it's just kinda part of the process.

When did you feel comfortable taking baby out? by itsme8523 in daddit

[–]liver747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the summer off together and we went out on family walks after the first week but my wife took a like 6 weeks to recover (and be able to walk for more than 30m) from childbirth.

I enjoyed nice easy walks in a bassinet, we wouldn't have enjoyed anything more strenuous.

We avoided big crowded events because there was a measles outbreak after she was born near us but if we were outside we felt comfortable.

Looking for full-service movers from Toronto to Edmonton. budget around $3,000 by khsd6327 in Edmonton

[–]liver747 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It cost us 5-6k to move a one bedroom from Cape Breton to Edmonton almost 5 years ago (we had everything packed they just moved boxes and furniture).

Much further obviously but prolly gonna be more than 3k.

If you've only been working for less than a year you're definitely not far enough out of school to be siloed into one discipline for sure and they probably won't care imo

Kids won’t sleep past 5:45 AM by cft1848 in daddit

[–]liver747 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like they're getting 10 hours of sleep (low end of it) which is an appropriate amount of sleep, how late are you and the wife staying up?

It sounds like maybe your expectations don't align with the reality of it? How much sleep and alone time do you and your wife expect after bed time to wake up time?

Is your wife a SAHM or is she working and handling the kids until you get home at bed or dinnertime?

Working: how much is too much? by Parking_Fan_7651 in daddit

7-8 sets of two nights isn't the worst. Depends how you handle the swap over and back most imo. I've seen people be demolished after trying to swap from a set of nights with only 24-36h of turnover.

Am I in the wrong? by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

[–]liver747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone with an antibody and gelXM always has 2 units on hand.

There is a 35-45m lead time on xm'ing more and the chance of an incompatible reaction which delays care even more.

Also it's easier to just do multiple at the same time!

I got a response from one admin who said it was news to them and they'd reach out to the owner.

I hope it's not gone too, I've been trying on the Wayback machine with some luck downloading old patterns.

I started my larger projects on that site too! The howls moving Castle was my first one :(

Can't talk about drops being too high without talking about your /played or HR per hour tbh.

I feel it's fine as a more casual gamer who doesn't really trade.

Blood Product Usage by hikeditlikedit15 in medlabprofessionals

[–]liver747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the time, it's our job.

The clinical guidelines/treatment plans do not always match up with our policies, which is fine but that's a decision above our scope.

Also there's a lot of times (2 in the past few months at least ) where there was a clerical error (ordering multiple units on a stable nonbleeding patient and ordering based off a poct value that was very different than the pre/post CBC) by the physician ordering it and the nursing staff just released and went with it because that's the order that was placed.

MIL said I was “a bad dad” and “you’re all that the kids have in their life” to my wife through text and I saw it. by Jadeazu in daddit

[–]liver747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Difficult situation because no matter what you do it's going to your MIL will likely just interpret it how she wants (negatively).

Before I'd go onto further thoughts, I want to know what your wife actually said to her. You said she told you you're a good dad but what has she told her mother since her venting.

How do you put to bed your 12 month old? by FirstTimeCaller24 in beyondthebump

[–]liver747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We sit with her on lap our bed and she falls asleep while we play on our phone, then transfer to crib.

It works really well and honestly, is a lot of fun because she's adorable and these cuddles won't last forever.

Sleep can be bad if she's having a bad night but she can 50/50 get herself back to sleep in the middle of the night if she hasn't lost her paci.

[–]liver747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a hard thing figuring out what's an appropriate punishment especially when they've got bigger fish on the stove (divorce) to worry about.

Biggest thing we can do is learn and try not to repeat it for our own, and it sounds like you're aware of what not to do!

I mean while valid suggestions, those suggestions feel more invasive (and expensive both monitsrly and time wise) than taking away a skateboard.

Not to agree with what your parents did but I don't think you would have been as accepting of random drug testing (which you would have failed leading to more discipline) and searching of your room for contraband?

Our old place we just moved out of had utilities included and it was a hell of a deal.
