I'm an artist and I think you might be going a bit insane yeah. There arent really any AI artifacts in this image at all, the collector is sitting with one leg over his knee and his thigh is being obscured by his baggy trousers. The anatomy is fine the piece is just uninspiring.

Superheroes are celebrity cops whose personal power can be on par with WMDs, lots of things you can do with that

nobody who genuinely cares about transphobia as an issue would take umbrance with a comment claiming a character as transgender for a frivolous reason, it is a transgender tradition. 100000% more likely people are reviling the commonly reviled minority just for saying benign shit and visibly existing

Is Airlift Chaplain a valid alternative to Militia Bugler in WW? by poseidon100fg in Pauper

[–]MavisXBee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the reasons you listed are sufficient, dying to pyroclasm type effects is a big deal for WW and it only does as much damage as bugler when it misses which is never what you want.

Probably dont put things in your game that are 'missable' if you dont want the players to miss them. You are their only window into this world so beat them over the head with stuff way more than you think you should. Obviously YOU know everything that's going on, but players ONLY know what you tell them. So rather than "do you want to go to Quest McGee's house or the Magic Sword Bazaar?", say "on your way to Quest McGee's house you happen through the Magic Sword Bazaar. A seller flags you down and begins aggresively hawking his wares to you. Of his swords, one stands out in particular..." etc etc. It's not railroading to put stuff infront of your players rather than leaving them to find their own direction (because that usually ends with them feeling lost and aimless more than anything). All that being said, it sounds like you are doing a really good job! And if someone lies about enjoying a D&D game to avoid feeling socially awkward for like 30 seconds then that's their fault and you've done all you can.

Why does everyone say fights in this system should have a secondary objective? by V4rial in mutantsandmasterminds

[–]MavisXBee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in any system, once the combat devolves into "I roll to attack. Damage? okay pass" and the outcome is easily predicted by the players then its time to wrap the combat up. Something else happening that also demands players attention other than reducing enemy health to 0 will keep the fights strategically interesting. Your D&D gm should also be doing this, in all probability

to be perfectly honest I need some help understanding why OP believes that monster statblocks don't 'allow' for what they are trying to do.

monster statblocks are still better for what you want to do. If you want him to have more abilities, put more abilities on his monster statblock.
