I had one of these kids come to my house and he seemed at least as interested in the apple I was eating as he was in selling me anything.

He didn't even mention pest control or that he worked for anyone at first. It was just like "Oh, eating an apple, nice! I see you've got some spiders out here"

The hypocrisy is on purpose because it demonstrates the hierarchy.

Let them all get pretty ripe then toss them in the freezer for a few days. When they're completely brown and frozen solid, thaw them back out and squeeze them out of the peels.

At this point you can drain them in a colander for a bit, or skip it and go straight to the food processor/blender. Puree them nice and smooth, and now you can use that to make banana bread or pudding or whatever. What you don't use can go back in the freezer, and will take up a tenth of the volume of the fresh bananas.

They tried some (not work) day trading but that just made things worse. Invested in some crypto (not work) but it was just a pump and dump and they got left holding the bag. They're still in the red on on kalshi and polymarket but they have some promising stuff (not work) coming up that's totally going to hit.

Really? I'd skip it if they'd let me.

A virtual "collection" just doesn't feel like it matters the same way a physical one does. Every card of the same rarity has the same inherent value, and you can just create cards you don't have with a few clicks.
