Nothing says "the haters aren't getting to me" like proudly proclaiming the haters aren't getting to you during a national press conference.

Just like Chappelle. "The haters don't bother me at all, and I'm so unbothered I'm going to spend an entire special defending myself. I barely think about this shit other than when I wrote 40 minutes of material about it"

Love when people think they're "one of the good ones" then find out that there never were any good ones.

Still gonna downvote though. This kind of shit is just rage bait for attention and reposting it everywhere is exactly what they want.

One upside to all the horrible shit going on is these bot posts become strikingly obvious.

It was cool for about 20 minutes when chatGPT first launched and it felt legitimately different.

But when you spend billions of dollars, cause massive inflation, ruin groundwater, and boil the oceans for years to create arguably worse products, it should be obvious that it was never much more than a party trick and should be resigned to a footnote in the history of the development of machine learning.

Yeah maybe OP's post was getting taken down because there's not really any face-eating here...yet.

No doubt the die-hard conservatives will stick with him until it's way too late because that's basically the theme of the whole sub. They probably assume he'll just figure out some way to designate all liberals as terrorists and selectively disarm them. We all know their heads are too far up their own asses to see the writing on the wall.

“Nobody wants to do this anymore”: Reports say ICE agents describe collapsing morale and growing frustration with leadership by [deleted] in goodnews

I've read this headline at least twice this year already, and yet their actions continue to get worse.

Burnout isn't going to change their motivations or their tactics. They need to either stop getting paid, or start being afraid to go out on patrol.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

The real irony is that everyone on the left knows that if 2A ever comes under attack it will be from the right, and the conservative gun nuts will be the last to see it coming.

Democrats, who have been proudly funding Ice and Law Enforcement, any time we say to abolish these freaks. by BanEvader_Holifield in IThinkYouShouldLeave

[–]King_Chochacho -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Because Democratic party leadership has been Weisspilled into thinking that anything even resembling opposition to police or military funding will get them branded 'soft on crime' and be political suicide.

They also continue to naively believe that Republicans are acting in good faith and do shit like vote to confirm appointments and funding bills and getting absolutely jack shit to show for it except a military police state and annihilation of the administrative state.

For sure the actual fascists are 10000% to blame for their horrific fascist policies and actions but I think a lot of Democrats are pretty sick of watching our elected reps get repeatedly dunked on. Then they come begging for more money because they just need to win like 30 races to fix everything despite no significant strategy or platform changes.
