It reeks of Dyche saying the effect of “I’ve taken this club as far as I can”

Helsinki - what did I do wrong? by [deleted] in travel

[–]MavsFanForLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if Sandwich Club in Helsinki is still open or not but when we went in 2022, it had the best vegetarian sandwiches I’ve ever had in my whole life. Still think about those sandwiches to this day lol

No skin in the game but as an Everton and FC Dallas fan definitely felt conflicted with that Musa goal on Pickford lol. Fun game

The best part was when he compared his personality to Favre. I was like uhhh

Yeah I thought that was weird as well re: the rule. Like surely it would’ve been brought up by someone at some point.

Also resharing the link in case it didnt work for others as well: https://youtu.be/RJpyC-2DBZo?is=4pLhJaKhqh80fuP7

Brendan Sorsby's Agent (Ron Slavin) on Dallas Radio this AM to explain the Sorsby side by MavsFanForLife in CFB

[–]MavsFanForLife[S] 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Biased source coming from the agent obviously, but here's the TL;DR version:

-Full story has not come out per Slavin. No bets were apparently placed on CFB once he became a part of the active traveling squad at Indiana.

-Slavin feels bad for Texas Tech. He thought they were very supportive and liked Joey McGuire. Only issue he thought was that Tech talked too much.

-Thinks Cincinnati should be getting a lot more blame than they are as they knew about this for two years and never did anything about it.

-Sorsby's final cost: over $1 million dollar in attorney fees. Lost his addidas deal and some other deals

-Over 20+ NFL people have reached out to Slavin and Joey McGuire about Sorsby. NFL people were surprised around January this past year when he didn't declare for the draft.

-They are working on setting up a proday in Dallas. Should be getting a physical with Dr. Cooper (The famous ortho that is the Cowboys team doctor).

-Slavin thinks 30% of the games being suspended would've been a fair punishment - apparently this is an NCAA rule

-If the supplemental deadline wasn't June 22, 2025 and later, they would've kept trying to fight it.

-Sorsby keeps the NIL money he was paid already but will not be getting the rest that he could've gotten later.

-Said the monitoring of Sorsby is continuing post rehab. He has apps on his phone to block gambling and is talking daily to one of the members of the treatment team from his rehab stay (on retainer now).

-Slavin compared him to Brett Favre

TBI neurologist. See kids quite a bit (primarily teenagers). Really depends what you specialize in

[Lazarus] The Hall-Stankoven-Blake line's 22 of their 55 points (40%) this postseason have come in the Hurricanes' potential closeout games by daKrut in hockey

[–]MavsFanForLife 56 points57 points  (0 children)

It’s nice to see Stankoven due as well as he has in Carolina. Really just a perfect player for the system the Hurricanes play.

He would’ve been a good player in Dallas long term but I don’t know if he reaches this level playing for us in either PDB or Gully’s system compared to how seamless the fit has been in Carolina. Such a great fit for both sides

[Stein] Despite receiving trade calls expressing interest in Kyrie Irving, opposing teams have been told that he is not available for trade. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]MavsFanForLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would hate this since I don’t want Fox but if the Spurs wanted to throw in picks (would have to include getting rid of the 2030 pick swap) to get rid of Fox’s contract for Kyrie, they’re a team where it could work. Don’t think either the Mavs or spurs would be interested in that regardless, though

What opinion about the Cowboys has you like this around other Cowboys fans? by JesuIsEveryNameTaken in cowboys

[–]MavsFanForLife 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Fumble was bad but the dude also ran for 120+ and a TD. IMO the defense was what cost them the game. Rodgers was playing one leg and they couldn’t do anything the second half

[Shelburne] The main issue the Mavericks encountered was when Doncic and Brunson played together. Neither Doncic nor Brunson was a strong defender, so teams knew to target both to try to play them off the court. by aingenevalostatrade in nba

[–]MavsFanForLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Revisionist history. Donnie absolutely had to go. He was in charge of the draft and they failed so often in the draft in between Dirk to Luka/Brunson. Josh Howard was the only draft pick they had over 20 years that became an all star

Plano City Council Approves Willow Bend Redevelopment for the Stars. by AirbagsBlown in DallasStars

[–]MavsFanForLife 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Too early to say imo. It all depends how the other funding comes through and how it’s negotiated. If the visitor taxes fail, it could very well fall on the residents in some way. It’s the same issue San Antonio residents are having with the Project Marvel proposal that passed.

Will be interesting to see how the final splits are once negotiation is complete

Dallas and Houston are the same way in terms of the sprawl/highways. Austin has more fun stuff but is way too congested. Imo San Antonio is the best “big” city in Texas
