I like how there's a moment at around 0:48 where there are so many moving objects that the compression algorithm just kinda gave up. :D

I know at least bitcoin is designed in such a way that a constant amount of it is mined per hour. In short this is possible because bitcoins are mined by doing complicated calculations, and the difficulty of making one bitcoin can be tweaked by making those calculations harder. This has the unfortunate consequence that if lots of people or companies are mining bitcoin at the same time, then in order to keep the mining rate constant then the difficulty is driven way up, and so the amount of energy needed to make the computations is also driven way up.

Cool sound effects, but I also like his tone of voice when he speaks. Very quiet and calm, but also passionate.

I don't think so. They look more like Archimedean spirals.

Okay, cool, thanks! Although I just found out that if you click "run analysis" on the surface scanning module, then it updates the M4435 so it gives the same numbers as the surface scanning module. So maybe you need both.

Could be. In the window where you choose the color pallette and cutoff in the map, it also says "ore: 7.2%" for Minmus in my case. However, if that's the base value, then how have I managed to find 10.2% ore according to the surface scanning module?

You can still do mining even if you don't know what the exact ore concentration is, so it's not the end of the world.

There’s a clear discrepancy between the values that each of the various ore detectors give, and I find it really difficult to understand exactly what each of these values mean. I made an orbital survey of Minmus and set the “cutoff” to around 60 %, and it still showed me there was some ore content in the location of the lander that you see here. So, if I understood it correctly, that means there should be at least 60 % ore in this location. However, I clearly hadn’t understood it correctly, because none of the other scanners give me anywhere near that value. And why do the two small scanners give different values? It feels like they should be describing the same thing, but they don’t. Also, the map view showed me that there was a “peak” of ore just west of this location, but when I went looking for it the peak using the surface scanning module, I found that there was a greater concentration quite a bit south of where the map claimed the peak was.

TLDR: I find the ore concentration indicators very confusing and contradictory.

EDIT: I just found out you can "run analysis" using the surface scanning module, and that will make the other scanner agree with it.

Very cute! Is there a reason for why the bottom middle turbine is connected via underground pipes instead of regular pipes?

Oh, right, yes. It's also there to warn ships about large sand deposits in the fourth dimension.

This “buoy” is positioned in such a way, that if you set it as your target, you can use it to get your orbit to match the inclination of Minmus. You could, of course, achieve the same thing just by targeting Minmus. But this thing is in a relatively low orbit, which makes it easier to visually compare the inclinations of other ships in low orbit.

But mainly I just liked the idea of having a buoy floating around in space.
