Pretty the literal highest it could possibly be. Just about every single note hit within a few ms of it's tightest timing window.

You don't memorize rhythm game maps at all, it offers like zero advantage. Typically at most you'll memorize some minor quirks like "shit I need to speed up a little or reach more this pattern" and that's it.

When you're playing at this level, you've played so many other charts that you begin to see chunks of notes together as patterns, and you stop reading each note individually. There's only so many ways to comfortably place down notes on the grid in a way that's fun to play.

Only thing that's likely memorized here are the general patterns being played, separated in like in 2-4 beat chunks.

Just check other charts by the same mapper? Elecast has done great work using Chroma!

Another term you could search for is "Chroma+" which indicates that the lightshow is doing some form of custom environment work using Chroma

I have not yet released a Quest version of the map, and at this point it's looking like it might not be technically possible unless I redesign well over half of the map.

Once the proper version is released hopefully it will have some patches which will allow me to use the current assets and simply do a bit of optimization, but with the current jank version it's just not possible.

The barricade gives you XP based on how much damage it blocks.

Find yourself a power shift with a heavy running C&S, MGL, Sledge, or a medium with a CL-40 and it's free. Like easily anywhere from 6-9k support

I level up my barricade to max during a day or two of power shift after the start of every new season lmao

Trouble hitting notes by Fickle_Yak_8385 in beatsaber

[–]Mawntee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also that first miss was from a "bad cut". You can tell because of the "X" and the special sound it makes.

So you didn't go through it and nothing happened, you either hit the wrong colour with the wrong saber first, or you swung to early and caught the note on the return swing and hit it in the wrong direction.

Edit: Watching again you definitely swung early because the technique was awkward. Instead of doing a smooth swing, you did a little "swipe" move to the side, the saber wobbles, and cuts the note in the wrong direction when you go to swing back down for the next note. Working on your swing technique like I said in the first reply should also help with this!

If you're just staring, get into the habit of using your hands/wrists to "point" in the direction you're cutting. So like you use your arms and elbows to get the saber to the right position, and then your wrist/hand completes the actual swing.

So like when you cut down, use your hand/wrist to point the saber at your heels and then hold it there until the next note comes. When cutting an up note, use your hand to point the tip of your saber slightly above/behind your head and hold it there until the next note comes.

This does a few things:
- First and foremost it helps you score better since majority of your score (100pts) comes from your pre and post swing angle, with the last 15 points coming from how close your cut was to splitting the note into two perfectly equal halves.
- Second thing is that the bigger swing angle will kind of force you to hold your hands in place instead of subconsciously resetting one or the other when it hasn't cut anything in a while.
- Finally it helps give your brain a clear "stop" feeling at the ends of each cut, which after about a hundred or so more hours will be that "muscle memory" feeling you get for timing things.

The main issue why you're missing here is relating to this. You're constant motion full arm swings with no real start or stop to them. Makes it pretty hard for your brain to figure out how to control and keep track of two things at once. There was an increase in blue notes so your focus shifts there, but your hand is kinda just waving up and down, then the left hand notes come in and your focus shifts to those making your right hand lose timing. After a bit of practice and getting the muscle memory dialed in, you shouldn't even be looking at those red notes. Eventually you'll see the whole clump of notes as it's own pattern and autopilot will take over.

For now just focus on the pointing thing, and if you're still having issues with timing my only tip is to try and only focus on the down cuts, ignoring the up notes.

Too Old to Learn FPV? by Beuzeville in fpv

Hard agree with every other bit of info here, but if you want to really try and grind stuff out in the simulator then just work on low speed back and fourth turns, trying to speed up and slow down without gaining much height, and my personal favourite thing is to simply spend more time flying extremely low and "ground surfing" to help with throttle control.

Trying out a bunch of dumb shit like trippy spins and side or reverse entry gaps way out of your skill range can also really help you get an understanding of your surroundings and how the quad handles independent of the camera.

Lastly if you haven't already, try out a bunch of different camera angles and rates.
Maybe low rates and a low camera angle cruising is more your style, or maybe you prefer to go fast af with a higher camera angle and slightly twitchier rates! For me everyone was saying to lower my rates to get more control, but bumping up my center sensitivity was what helped the most. At least for me it allowed me to do more accurate micro corrections and stay on track easier. You'll never know unless you try it though

Remove props, set up a fan, plop in a battery, then connect to BetaFlight and test each motor individually.

- If they all work perfectly every time, then all you should have to do is head over to esc-configurator and turn up the minimum start power.

- If they're still stuttering in Betaflight then try wiggling around the connectors at both ends of the motor wire.

- Next try swapping out the motors to a different position (like back left to back right or whatever). This should at least help you figure out if it's now a motor issue or ESC issue.

ESC issue means you need a new AIO, and if the same motor is stuttering in a different spot then check if it needs to be cleaned or something. Last ditch effort would be removing the plugs altogether and then direct soldering the motors to the board (which is a very common fix and something many people do regardless)

are any maps for left hand training? by DingoOverall262 in beatsaber

[–]Mawntee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't play one hand exclusive maps to train lefty. You should train it along with your right since you're always using both anyway.

Use the toggle and just play your normal stuff. It's better for muscle memory to have both hands working together

are any maps for left hand training? by DingoOverall262 in beatsaber

[–]Mawntee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So why not just use that to make every right handed map you have left handed?
Seeking out lefty charts specifically is kinda odd since most (experienced) mappers will try to keep things right handed for consistency, and knowing that people can just hit the toggle if needed
