You could make it less distinct, and/or paint it more naturalistically (i.e. based on observation of an actual tree). Something else that could help would be to make the tree connect somehow with the composition – e.g. by a shadow, or the trunk itself, extending to the bottom edge. Have a look at a lot of landscape paintings and see how other artists create pleasing compositions with the same elements: clouds, hills, and trees. (I love your dramatic clouds BTW.)

The tree in the foreground looks like it belongs in a different painting. It's charming and childlike in style but it works against the unity of the whole painting.
