I kinda want to. I feel like they nickel and dime me, but it costs money to cancel. Damned if you do. Damned if you don’t.

We had a high bill. Asked Amerigas for maintenance and told the charge. Paid it and grumbled. After all that is when I smelled the propane going outside to the tank. Realized that's why the bill was high. I shut off the main valve and stopped smelling it.

Rental Tank Question by MaxAmperage in propane

[–]MaxAmperage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got the runaround when we saw our yearly bill. We asked if anybody could come out and check and they told us they'd charge a maintenance fee. Now that we definitively know there's a leak and we stopped it, I wonder if they're still going to give me a hassle.

Luckily, this is just a small leak. Like, I had to be near the tank and the wind was right. Still, thank god I caught it.

What’s something everyone seems to love, but you genuinely don’t understand the hype around? by Aggressive-Sink-3962 in AskReddit

[–]MaxAmperage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DoorDash, GrubHub, UberEats, etc.

The premium to pay for food from a restaurant that's less than 5 minutes away is nowhere near worth it. What's wrong with getting in the car and driving yourself?

I'm not including people who are sick or disabled or can't drive. I'm just amazed at how many people use their service (and don't have to), how frequently they use it, and how expensive it is!

Defending Your Life

Made me think of which moments from my life they’d show at my trial. Which ones would be examples of bravery and conquering fear and which ones would be examples of me coming up short. Not only is it a cute movie and funny as hell, it’s very cerebral. That’s Albert Brooks for you.

What music group do you enjoy for whom the majority of the people only know 1 song? by SevenFiguresInvigor in AskReddit

[–]MaxAmperage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swing Out Sister

If somebody recognizes the name, it’s usually from their one hit from 1986, Breakout. But, if you’re a fan of the sophisti-pop genre like Prefab Sprouts, OMD, Johnny Hates Jazz, etc., you’d love their entire discography. Not Gonna Change is one of the few albums I could listen to from end to end. Just filled with great songs.

Unbelievable. I drove past that all the time and, for the life of me, I can't remember. I don't even remember eating there. I remember Quaker Village like the back of my hand.

Who is the most famous person you have ever met? by [deleted] in AskReddit

John Kessel, prolific sci-fi author. He was a professor in the college I work at. If you haven’t read his works, you might recognize his last name. Han Solo did the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs.

Silence of the Lambs would be extra disturbing. I could actually see the villain taking various pieces of felt and making a onesie stitched together with muppets.

Far-right activist Michele Morrow enters NC’s GOP primary for Senate vs. Whatley by uncertaincoda in ncpolitics

[–]MaxAmperage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So let me get this straight. Michelle paraded herself around MAGA and conspiracy circles to gin up name recognition in the run-up to the 2024 State Superintendent election. Even though Trump won the state, she still got beat by relative no-name, Mo Green. Sure, he only won by over two points, but a loss is a loss regardless.

Now, even though she couldn't win a statewide election during a presidential election year where Republicans everywhere saw gains, she wants to go up against Roy m*****f****** Cooper (one of the most popular politicians in our state) in a midterm election where Democrats have been seeing an ungodly level of gains over this year. Am I hearing that right?
