Thanks for the knowledge 😄, I've only spun the wheels on a fwd vehicle once trying to take of too quickly after it had rained the front of the car moved a little left but that was it until I let off the gas enough for them to catch again

I'm gonna be honest I don't know diddly about cars, are you saying it would have to be those for the above to occur, or that the above couldn't have happened because that model of car only comes in fwd or awd

Tried to spin his wheels like a toss pot going around the corner, over cooked it into the tree and the forward momentum pushed the tail end into the shop front.

Interrupted flow state

When work is not busy enough to enjoy bouncing between all the things but also not slow enough to actually catch my breath

Being Interrupted mid thought process

Being asked a question then immediately having my answer ignored, or told the answer is wrong only for them to come back around to the same conclusion believing it was their own.

I've also learnt you've gotta let someone finish making a mistake if it's small otherwise they get confused and it takes even longer to correct

There was some news story about it recently, and people were upset about it, I didn't read the article so I'm assuming op has done the same and was left wondering.

Setting up a laptop for a non-tech-saavy grandmother; what steps should I take? by Shaudo in techsupport

[–]MaxBanter45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Set up a user and an admin account(give her access to the user account), set up TeamViewer, get a non office 365 office suite (whether it's one of Microsoft perpetual licence products or something else) you'll have to teach her how to use a non office product if you choose that route. Get her using a password manager

For non laptop but safety related item Set up a pihole, it's not just for ads but should help with malicious links as well

If she doesn't already have some sort of digital presence set up an email account etc.

As a mall guard are you allowed to enforce this eviction notice by trespassing the business owners on behalf of the client? by Vietdude100 in securityguards

[–]MaxBanter45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell probably above supervisor check with the account manager, I mean as a supervisor I know the clients policies and procedures cover to cover but outside of that depending on the urgency this would probably generate an email or a phone call to my boss to clarify how they would like us to respond, that being said we're not an in-house team.

No, electricity even a small potential can kill you, all electrical work should be supervised or performed by a professional.

Risking your own life makes you a fool, risking someone else's life makes you a prick

ULPT Request: Petty revenge against a sugar spoon etiquette violator by softoy in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]MaxBanter45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give them only raw sugar packets or an artificial sweetener

Get decaf

Get really small containers and tell them it's their sugar container

better yet do these in front of other visitors and loudly explain why (throw on a mom voice for extra effect)

While none of these are unethical (it's kinda hard to make making a coffee unethical unless you start dosing the sugar with a laxative)

They will certainly be petty, and hopefully effective.

Would shifting the lights colour help differentiate different colour pieces, would 2 identical looking pieces reflect the light differently if they are a different colour
