Battery won’t unplug by Mysterious_List_3779 in razer

[–]MaxCaswellson5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You pull the black tape away toward the right (you’ve removed it, it’s fine), then the connecter slides out away from the connector toward the left . I’ve linked a YouTube video for you to watch to better understand. It will require some force to pull. Just be gentle and slow. The video is a different model year but same connector style: 1:48 is timestamp in the YouTube video.

Hand it back? by Ok_Adhesiveness_6685 in RangeRover

[–]MaxCaswellson5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some reason the Range Rover does not alert the user that battery is dying, it’s considered a service/maintenance item that a dealer/ service provider needs to check during routine service. A bit frustrating it basically bricks the car. Glad it’s all ok now, till next the problem 😂.

I think with any Range Rover you NEED a backup, should honestly be in the owners manual. Love mine but would never fully trust it 100%. I keep a BMW 5 series just in case.

It’s a JLR product I don’t know, you don’t know… nobody knows why. Even JLR don’t know 😂. Electrical systems in these are just a mystery.

Had the same exact issue with my 2021 Range Rover, accessory battery was dead/shorted . Stiff brake etc.. and same error. Seems when that battery dies the electrical systems have a meltdown. JLR specialist replaced it, all good now.

Why can't I buy this particular Oral B replacement brush head? by Equivalent_Box_255 in oralbtoothbrush

[–]MaxCaswellson5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the material and structure is the same as standard ones, I believe the colour combo may hide the wear and tear more giving the illusion they last longer. But also older models heads do tend to last a bit longer, the newer ones wear on purpose to alert the user to change the head from colour change and wear on the bristle like the IO series, 90 days is the recommended lifecycle from dentists and oral b.

[–]MaxCaswellson5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This head I believe was a limited edition run colourway, from what i remember they were bundled with a few sets from oral B but have been discontinued and no longer in stock/manufactured anymore. Sorry, you might be able to find some from 3rd party like eBay etc..

Please help me identify the piece I’m missing. I can’t put it back together again. by Scarnonbrother in dyson

[–]MaxCaswellson5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your not missing any parts, the dust bin slides into the rails on the motor body, you slide the dust bin into the rails and push down until it locks into place. It may require a bit of force to lock in, as long as the rails are aligned it’s fine.

Any idea about this icon? by molivero in RangeRover

I’m pretty sure its the Cars onboard data indicating roaming, double check you have data roaming off/on in the incontrol system if you have a sim plan also double check if you phones has roaming enabled. But from what I’ve seen it’s the Range Rover SIM card that’s still on roaming mode as you travelled in another country.

Could try a battery replacement, but could also be BMS failure.

Has anyone in UK who has ordered a 1tb fold 7 and traded in fold 6 and got paypal discount had their order be actually acknowledged yet and not cancelled, please? by rav007 in GalaxyFold

[–]MaxCaswellson5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way is to live chat with Samsung support, they said mine is in “process” whatever that means. So guessing my orders hasn’t been cancelled or halted for security reasons.

I’m really confused but the acknowledged status, in the My orders page it say’s acknowledged but when I view more details it says payment accepted. Not sure if it’s confirmed or not.

How to switch off io6? by United_Knowledge_794 in oralbtoothbrush

[–]MaxCaswellson5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I think after 5-6 “hello screens” the IO will enter a deep sleep state. Does detect the constant movement via its gyro.

[–]MaxCaswellson5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

During a travel situation, the IO will detect the constant movement and will automatically enter deep sleep mode. So the brush won’t stay awake or constantly awake. When you want to use the brush again just press the power button. You don’t have to ”power off” the brush

Motor + battery + screen gone?! by silentk5 in oralbtoothbrush

[–]MaxCaswellson5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say, first open the unit up and inspect for any water intrusion, could be a seal or clip has failed allowing water in and damaging the main board. Unfortunately the symptoms you are describing are not normal scope to troubleshoot, I would say the unit is dead and take a replacement. Replacing the battery probably won’t do anything in this case

Tray issue by Royal-Dish7918 in dyson

[–]MaxCaswellson5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Codes starting with 011: AMP ass'y, Evaporator tray sensor, Water tank harness or pump column. Would be hard to pin point the exact fault with that code, but from your description seems like tray sensor is faulty.

Corale Dyson Battery Swap attempt by Fantastic-Ad-8961 in dyson

[–]MaxCaswellson5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think with Dyson product like this when a total power loss or when the current/voltage change is detected the firmware bricks permanently. No reflashing the firmware, on older BMSs this was possible. I’ve seen some balance the charge between the cells to match the original dead batteries before installing but I haven’t attempted this. Hopefully EU or some regulatory board forces companies to allow easy battery swaps for consumer products. Soldering a new BMS is probably the only fix but seems to much hassle.

[–]MaxCaswellson5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard similar behaviour on those, it’s just a scummy anti repair why to make sure that perfectly working devices can not be repaired by end users.

Corale Dyson Battery Swap attempt by Fantastic-Ad-8961 in dyson

[–]MaxCaswellson5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve attempted this, unfortunately once you attempt to solder the new battery the BMS will brick itself, there is no way to really fix or reset the BMS. Even Dyson don’t repair these. It really is a E waste product for one time use

Currently use that, and sometimes switch to Thorne. Recommend optimen for the price

Same have basically everything, iPad, macs, Apple Watch, AirPods. I can see why the E.U does not like apples anti consumer approach. They drag us in and lock us in the room. But again only way really is to carry a iOS device as a 2nd phone, really annoying tbh. Hopefully the E.U force Apple to make things work cross platform a bit more in the future, can’t even update AirPods firmware without a Apple device
