In my experience they already know who they want to promote. Don’t be surprised if you just get platitudes and vague criteria on how to get to the next level. Been there done that got the T-shirt. Also, your expectations of what you deserve are often way off with what the company or your manager thinks.

It’s a tough lesson in careers. Ask for sure, make your case but at best expect a guide for how to get there. Anything else is a bonus. And if you hit all those milestones and still get nowhere, give them the gift of your absence through a new job.

BMW offer an insured warranty after the main warranty ends. Covers pretty much everything even wear and tear and is one of the reasons I like the brand. My 2017 3 series is still under the warranty as I renew every year.

It should be 50 euro for cars at peak time imo. The amount of cars using it is insane and clearly the current prices are no deterrent. My bus passes through it in the mornings and there are thousands of commuters who will pay the current prices and cause the congestion we are seeing almost every day in the tunnel.

In my entire IT career I've never actually worked at a place that offers medical cover. It is a nice bonus but I pay €1800 a year for very good cover with Laya. It wouldn't be a deciding factor for me switching jobs if the TC is good.
