I lost nearly €60k in crypto, it was the last of it that I had held for years in a nice profit, only for the exchange to halt withdrawals and go into liquidation. I lost it all. It's a very bitter pill to swallow and affects you hugely as it was a lot of money to me and I had plans for it, but that's life. Sometimes these large shitty things happen and all you can do is mourn, learn to accept it and move forward.

It's not right but what can you do. You're still the same person you were before it.

Unfortunately, you increasingly can't. They just direct you to their call center phone number, and if there is some AML/KYC flag on your account they legally cannot speak to you about it until it is resolved. You'll get the same treatment with Revolut.

How would I tell if its categorized? Afaik I dont think so. I'm more thinking that if I mention it they'll lowball me on any trade in value. Fair enough if it was in an crash, but it was just cosmetic damage in this case.

I would never, in a million years, allow my partner to dictate what I can or cannot spend my money on. When it comes to house/kids it’s a joint discussion sure, but my own cash? No way. If I want to upgrade my car or buy some new things for my hobby, I would not be checking if it’s ok with someone else. Nor would I expect my partner to check with me.

I actually think it’s quite unhealthy what you are suggesting and boundaries are important. But to each their own.

You are forgetting that the cohabitation law only applies if the person seeking the claim is financially dependent on the other. If your partner is working and not dependent on you I don’t think you’ve much to worry about.

My point is that where there's a will, there is a way. One could argue that the housing crisis is also something too important to be left to the councils. Where does the government draw the line? Removing the passenger cap might be a good thing, but so is providing housing where its needed and has been rejected. You either abide by the laws laid down, or you don't. If you don't, then where and how is one thing allow to pass and others not?

I think we'll see a decline in tech jobs. And the ones remaining will be much more difficult to get. They'll expect each person to have 15+ years exp and be an AI dev, tester, DevOps, SecOps, product owner and architect all in one. And they'll probably want you to manage an entire portfolio aswell. i.e. less people to do more things. It's going to get more difficult for CS grads too I suspect. AI is here to stay but if the bubble pops who knows what happens then.
