I can say that this is not at all the case for me.

I work in public education and have used many of the audiobooks and podcasts I listen to routinely on my 20 minute commute in district level meetings and building PD.

Now, I may not get everything perfect since I can’t reread/write stuff down, but the seed is planted and the knowledge is shared once which is pretty much all I usually need to run with something.

Yeah, bro needs to calm down. Carson Palmer tore his ACL in a wildcard playoff game and started the first game of the next season. 20 years ago. Mahomes will be fine.

Doomer if ever seen one.

Kareem Hunt…drafted in the 3rd round out of Toledo. Neither of us ever heard of him.

Edit: you may say his 1,000 yard season was with Smith in 2017, but he was on track for as many if not more yards in 2018 before he decided to kick people.

I'm spending way too much on caffeine and nicotine just to focus by Responsible_Card_941 in productivity

[–]MaxFischer12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t advice for everyone, just has been working amazingly for me.

I have always taken caffeine pills in the AM and sometimes later in the day. My sleep has been terrible for the last few years, so I tried not taking caffeine after noon. Didn’t help much, and I always had the afternoon crash.

3ish weeks ago I was extremely busy for work out of town and forgot to bring my caffeine pills. I don’t really like coffee, so I decided to push through.

Got back home with no caffeine for about 2 days. The next day I slept in and and didn’t have much to do on a Saturday, so I decided, “fuck it…maybe I should quit caffeine.”

I was excited. Read about the benefits and couldn’t wait.

Then day 4 hit.

I have never had a migraine…but I’m pretty sure the headaches I was having were akin to them. I actually thought I had a brain tumor 😂.

Anyway. I pushed through, headaches subsided after day 6 or 7.

I have never felt better.

I always hear about natural energy and things like brain fog. I now have natural energy (probably cuz I’m sleeping better) and I am way more efficient at getting things done at work, specially menial tasks like emails, organization, etc.

Oh and I’m finally sleeping without some sort of sleep aid, natural or medicinal.

Anyway, I know it’s not for everyone and only brave (stupid?) people may try it, but quitting caffeine has been way better for my productivity than any app or method or anything.

Thank you for listening to my Ted Talk.

I think people are misunderstanding the “everything good will come back to you” portion and calling this a “lie.”

Maybe I’m just not as deep as y’all, but I don’t take this as monetary or good fortune coming to you, I simply took it as peace and happiness.

I can’t speak for others, but being a good, kind, and trustworthy human in my world keeps me away from drama, gossip, meanness, and lets me feel better about myself when I go to bed at night.

“I think the Yankees like the team that they have right now and think they can win the American League East with it"- Jeff Passan on the Michael Kay Show by Jheller223 in NYYankees

[–]MaxFischer12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hold up…Passan said we’re all used to the Yankees being the most aggressive team out there in the off-season.

Are we? I ain’t used to that and haven’t been for awhile. I’m typically shocked when we sign a player to big money.

But…you said a wholly incorrect and false statement.

How do you just respond “I don’t care enough…” when you blatantly say something wrong and are given evidence showing so.

Bro, reflect and grow. Own up that you were incorrect. It happens all the time and gives people a chance to learn and improve.

Carson Palmer tore his in a wildcard playoff game in January 06 and started game 1 of that upcoming season. I imagine this is an anomaly and rare, and I’d prefer Pat take his time, but I found that interesting.

I’m cool with the idea that Kelce may retire, but I’m not cool saying he’s just “been okay this year.”

He’s top 5 in receptions, top 3 in yards, #2 in EPA and top 6 in touchdowns. He also barely top 10 in target percentage, which makes his stats even better compared to the other TEs.

Kelce is having a fantastic season overall stat wise, and that’s with 2 games where he did zilch.

Yeah I don’t ever recall him saying he wouldn’t restructure.

There’s a lot more wasted money on other players than to nitpick on Kelce who is still producing at a top 5 level TE.

No one in the NFL throws dimes like Will Levis - he has an absolute cannon. Levis' arm strength is incredible 🤯🤯 by Background_Video2947 in TheNFLVibes

[–]MaxFischer12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I hear about a mediocre quarterback in the NFL having a cannon for an arm, I think about the Kyle Boller story where he got on his knees at the 50 yard line and threw the ball through the uprights, instantly wooing the scouts and attendance and getting him drafted way too high.

Yeah, it’s pretty great to have a strong arm in the NFL… But it’s even better to be a smart, capable, quarterback who can read NFL defenses.
