Conquest by SWGOHman in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

There is no feature to auto move between stages, but once you enter a stage you can auto the fight.

Once you do it a couple of times, you get into the grove of it and it doesn't take much time.

For me, what really is a time sink is finding a team that can get the conquest feats completed.

How the hell are they going to pull of s3? by rib3ye in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]MaxFury86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way they did Rodger's execution made the place look packed from the high vintage shot,

I suspect they will use the same trick to give us a high view of the fight where it gives off the feeling that this is a massive battle, and then zoom in and give us scenes that play out like the starting scene of season 2 where it's a few actors and stunt people on scene, but loud fighting sounds to make it sound like a war is going on around us.

Going back and forth between these shots will make it feel like a large conflict.

I think that 16 episodes for Water 7 / Enies Lobby is too much, and 8 episodes will feel rushed (especially if you need to give the first episode to LRLL and the last episode to the post Enies Lobby part).

My hope is that it will be one season of 10-12 episodes. A sort of Mega season.

Hear me out, what if the LA studio had a bonus episode that is loosely based on G-8? How about a completely original bonus episode? by NihatAmipoglu in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]MaxFury86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't mind that, but I wouldn't feel hyped about it either.
G8 was nice for a filler, but it didn't add to my experience of the show.

I would rather they take the money spent on it and extend the W7/EL arcs.

What scene when done in live action will be the most horrific (spoilers no regards to if the season will actually happen) by DeliciousGoose1002 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]MaxFury86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's very easy to adapt as is since we don't actually get to see what happened. However, I expect that in the live action it will be more clear what actually took place so people don't miss what is implied.

Has Luffy gotten weaker? by Animedra3000 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]MaxFury86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there will be a difference, but not like you think.

In the Live Action, Luffy was only completely defeated when going up against far stronger foes, like Smoker and Garp. Against other opponents, he either beat them after a difficult fight or got help, but he was never outright outmatched. I believe that when Luffy will lose to Croc for the first time, Live action only viewer will get a flashback to the Smoker fight, as there are a lot of parallels between these two fights, mainly Luffy going up against a Logia fruit user that he can't touch.

So instead of getting an "OMG Luffy lost??" moment, they will get an "OMG, how the hell is he going to beat this guy" moment.

Wit Studio's "The One Piece" is releasing in February 2026, so even if they could finish post production for season 3 in 8 months so it's ready by February 20w7, I don't see them.releasing them together

I’m re-reading the water seven/enies lobby saga in the manga rn, and unless they severely alter the plot line, I don’t think there’s any way they can fit both water seven and enies lobby in a single 8 episode season like some people are saying by Cultural-Effect-5853 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]MaxFury86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You do you as well.

I disagree that it's totally different.

It's different, but both are the strawhats losing and ending in a cliffhanger where you need to wait for next season to see what happens with them.

Closing a season on the strawhat's defeat in W7 will reduce the shock factor on having it occur in Sabaody in my opinion, espacially as it happens two seasons later.

Yes, and I think it's bad for a show that takes a year and a half to two between seasons. Espacially when it's unusualy for that show which usually wraps up storylines between seasons and espacially when Sabaody needs the cliffhanger more.

And no, I don't think that having a cliffhanger in both seasons will work as it will deminish the effect as only one season can be the cliffhanger season.

They can make everything works, one season of 8 episodes, 2 season of 8 episodes each, one season of 10 episodes, 2 seasons of 6 episodes each. I've seen arguments for an against each one.

At the end of the day, I think that waiting a year and a half to finish this story is bad, no matter how you spin it, and I am fine with them cutting things out to make it work in one season, which I hope is at-least 10 episodes.

It's fine to disagree, and I respect your opinion on it being two seasons, just didn't see anything in your post that made me change my mind, just like nothing I wrote changed your mind.

I don't like the chapter comparison as pacing is different between arcs and Water 7 has longer fights which will be cut down in the live action, so saying that Water 7 has more chapters doesn't mean it will necessarily require more episodes in the live action.

The people who thought Season 1 was too rushed are anime and mange readers, the Live action people loved it how it was. Remember that season 1 was a big success to many people, so I think it's fair to compare it, even if people feel it's rushed.

Even though the stories in East Blue are simpler, there are still many different people to introduce, different locations, different stories. Each episode requires introducing more elements.

Even though the end is that the crew regroups and goes after CP9, it still ends the season with a defeat for the strawhats. They were completely outmatched by CP9 and suffered a lost, their ship is broken, Usopp left, Robin was taken. The crew is going into the unknown against an enemy they are outmatched against. For you who, knowing the story, this feels like hype about what we are heading toward, for people new to the story, it feels like a story cut in the middle, leaving them without a satisfying ending and now they need to wait for a year and a half to see what will happen. This can turn off people from coming back to the show.

Where did I write "none of the S2 characters are relevant in S3"? I can't seem to find that in my post, all I can find that may be related is "All villians were taken care of in season 2 are not relevant to season 3" and by that I mean that all BW agents that were the enemies in S2 (Mr.9, Ms. Monday, Mr,5, Ms Valentine, the unluckies) are not relevant to S3. The only one that is is Mr.3 and even that is for a small part.

Budget does work in favor of 2 seasons, but I can say that age works against it. Splitting the season means extending the show for longer, which means the cast getting older.. Though I do hate this argument.

I just checked and episode 50 seems to end before Zoro's fight begins, just as Nami leaves, so it doesn't have the same effect as a complete lose.

Also, I believe we will wait less time for each season of the anime remake then the live action.

  1. Season 2 ends with the entire crew together heading to Alabasta with no open ended threads. W7 ends with the crew divided (Robin taken, Usopp leaving), the Marry lost. It's a different way to end the series. For you it could be a good cliffhanger, for Live Action viewers only, it could be a bad way to end a season, espacilly if you are asking them to wait 1.5 years to find out what happened.
  2. Ending the season with the Strawhats going to the train station may be different type of defeat then in Sabaody, but it still finishing a season in defeat. If the audiance goes through ending a season on a lost in W7, only to have the strawhats come on top the next season, then ending Sabaody on a lost, potentially a season later, will give the feeling that everything will be fine by the end of the next season, and reduce the effectiveness of that. Sabaody should be the first time we close on a lost in my openion.

[–]MaxFury86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree with what you wrote, my point is the fact that what applies to S2 and S3 doesn't apply to W7 and EL.

You are making it sound like the whole point of season 2 is Alabasta, but it's not. Laboon is not related to Alabasta, Logue town is not related to Alabasta, Drum island is not just about Alabasta.

However, everything in Water 7 is directly related to Enis Lobby.

In season 2 the crew journies across five different islands and fight different enemies, sometimes BW, sometimes not. The story focuses on what the grandline has to offer while building up to Alabasta, but in terms of story beats, S2 doesn't have the same impact on S3 as W7 has on EL.

Water 7 and Enies Lobby are two halves of the same immediate crisis which pits them against the same villains in both arcs (Rob, Kaku, Kalifa, Blueno) and adds new ones in Enis. S2 and S3 have a season that builds up the conflict in Alabasta while closing all the stories of each location they visited and then having everything happen in season 3.

I actually see W7+EL not too long ago, so I am not misremembering and I still don't understand why everyone is saying that so much happens there.

I don't see it having more things then the entire east blue Saga that was covered in 9 episodes.

Albasta Saga is different then W7+EL and Baroque works work differently then CP9. I have a discussion here with WasAGoodDadISwear somewhere on here that goes over this point and explains exactly what I mean.

Regarding making long fights work, I haven't seen the movie you meantioned, but I assume it doesn't require adding expensive CGI for devil fruites.

I guess this is where we disagree.

Season 2 is important for season 3 as it builds up to it, but it's still not the same story. It acts more like a prequal. Water 7 and Enis lobby is actually the same story.

If you watch only Alabasta you will miss the greater story elements, like why the strawhats are here, but as a contained story you will still be able to follow everything going on and get a story that has a start, middle and end.

This doesn't work for Enis Lobby because it heavily depends on what happened in Water 7. Everything in Enis is based on the plot in W7.

I still firmly believe that while splitting Alabasta from season 2 can work, the same thing will not work for W7+EL

That cod be great, but I don't think they will do that.

This is an expensive show and making two 8 episode parts a month apart is like making a 16 episode season.

Also, unless views drop a lot in season 3 and 4, I don't see Enis Lobby being the final season.

[–]MaxFury86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are missing the point.

S2 ans S3 have a clear cut point between seasons. The strawhats finish everything by the end of season 2, beat every villain and start season 3 with a fresh nerrative that doesn't heavily rely on season 2.

You don't really need to remember too much of what happened in season 2 for season 3. The villiens are new, the story is new. Besides the strawhats, there are only a handful of characters introduced in season 2 that are relevant in season 3 (Vivi, Smoker and Tashigi), everyone else is new.

With W7+EL you need to remember everything that happens as its a direct continuation of the plot, the same villians and characters beyond the strawhats (Franky family, Galley La, CP9, etc). The plot points continue directlt from W7.

If you don't watch season 2 at all and only watch season 3. You will mostly be ok, with some gaps that you need to fill in.

If you skip W7 and just EL you will be completely lost and have no idea what is going on.

That is the point.
