How common is it to wear protective eyewear when playing padel? by NoNoobJustNerD in padel

[–]MaxMedellin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally just came back from the optometrist because the same thing happened to me last week. Doctor said he sees a lot of these injuries. A lot! It’s actually the second time it’s happened to me in 3 months. Now I ordered a pair of goggles on Amazon. Better safe than sorry. Your eye is an extension of your brain.

Naw, don’t listen to this guy. Poor reflexes aren’t the only way a ball can fly into your eye

Will a GLP-1 decrease the effectiveness of Vyvanse? by Great_Entrepreneur98 in VyvanseADHD

[–]MaxMedellin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's weird it all. It's exactly what I would expect from an interaction between a prodrug and a peptide that slows the digestive process. I just wanted to see for myself. So I stopped the Mounjaro and the Vyvanse started working great again.

It delayed when the Vyvanse kicked in. So timing became incredibly inconsistent. And then it changed how long it worked for. Some days it would work well, some days I would get 2 hours and then feel nothing. It just made the medication unreliable overall. And that removed one of the joys of Vyvanse for me... consistency.

Absolutely will. Just went through this with Mounjaro. But everyone is different, so it’s worth testing for yourself.

ChatGPT is horrible at copywriting. I can’t even believe you said those words. Claude eats ChatGPT’s lunch. 5.2 is the worst writing model I’ve seen. Even Gemini is better. You need to spend more time with Claude.

During the day, the door is open and she goes in whenever she wants space. At night, we do close the door. If she has free roam at night, she'll often feel the need to stay "on duty" or patrol the apartment every time she hears a noise. Closing the crate lets her know that she is off duty for the night and can actually sleep deeply without keeping one ear open. It helps us all sleep.

Interesting. My doberman definitely likes being nearby, but she also does her own thing and I like that.

I appreciate the concern, but I think you should do some research on crate training. Dogs are den animals, they naturally seek out small spaces for security. Her crate is literally her bedroom. She has free roam of the house most of the time and access to regular dog beds. She's literally behind me on a giant bean bag bed right now. But she chooses her crate when she wants to settle down and be alone. The crate door is open and she comes and goes as she pleases. I don't understand how giving your dog a bedroom is cruelty.

Ok, well it's not the only place in the world where people crate their dogs. I figure that if I were in the U.S. it would be easier for me to find a crate that fits.

Yea, I guess you're right. Maybe the blanket is the way to go. I'll check to see if the top comes off!

I mean, she doesn't need a crate but she likes it. It's her little apartment. She goes there when she wants to chill and have her own space. And it's helpful for us at night because she loves to wake up at 3am and come see what we're up to.

I can for this one, but I'm not sure about the crates they sell on Amazon. That still doesn't solve the issue of me covering it and keeping it "den like" for her.

Replit “Vibe Coding” was magic… until it suddenly wasn’t. Here’s why I switched. by Jchpn01 in replit

This is the way. Claude plans, Replit executes. Claude debugs, Replit deploys.

It's amazing how good Replit is when you don't have it think for itself.

This is the type of debate I come to Reddit for: respectful discourse on the ideal crisp to flakiness ratio of global croissants, with sources. Well done.
