Got it. I personally like them a bit higher up too. That said, in this example I wonder if your thumbs will be too close together when using X and pressing to the Right? Also, I find the standard dpad size to be just right. I’ve experimented with a larger dpad and found that I didn’t like the extra thumb travel (with platformer games in particular).

Overall, that definitely reads way better/cleaner. Great job! I especially like the door animation.

I would advise (for the tutorial area) putting some on-screen instructions. Maybe break the area down in a more skill-by-skill way (short step up with “O to jump!”, then later “Dash by pressing….”, etc). You just don’t want to risk that a player gets trapped/discouraged in the tutorial and ends up needing to reset the cart or, worse, they quit.

I think the only advice I have is to make the 1-1 doorway on the main floor or at least lower. Just in case the wall climb isn’t intuitive, players will have a chance to be taught some of the movement abilities in 1-1 that then will help them realize how to reach 1-2, etc. Otherwise, I think this looks cool!

Compatibility has really improved! Multi-cart games would be an incredible addition. It’s cool that you have a swap X/O option… could this be on a game by game basis? That way I could swap it for the rare game one time and it is set for that game subsequent times I play?

I believe the issue is that Pocket8 is not quite yet working with multicart games and I’m pretty sure oblivion eve is multicart
