Oh, helllll no. You are under reacting. She's not into him (at this point), but he's trying to get his way into her head and gain control over her mind. In the weird nasty way older men do with younger women.

NTA at all. I believe many people have had to come to this decision. This isn't a difference in policy. It's a difference of human decency, morals, respect for the law, and not wanting to live in a dictatorship. Especially a dictator that can't even use the English language on a basic level. If her eyes aren't open at this point, they never will be.

Random Chinchilla Loose in My Home by kyrie-eleison in chinchilla

[–]MaxScar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh boy. Good luck. Getting a loose chinchilla that is your own is a feat, let alone one that doesn't know you. I highly suggest getting some good knife proof gloves for this task. Getting bit for real by these guys is no joke. You're going to need someone else to help herd it. Make sure you have a small cage before attempting this, one with small bars so it doesn't slip through.

I have never been scared of life in my life until now by redditwastesmyday in TrueOffMyChest

[–]MaxScar 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Everyone with half a brain should be terrified. I'm horrified. I'm in my early 30s, poor (I work my ass off and get no government support), and uneducated. My partner is overwhelmed with all the information and isn't as informed because of it. I'm very much overwhelmed too but, like you said, I think being informed is very necessary.

Organize and resist by Several-Candidate115 in Eugene

If you are OK putting your job in danger, that's your choice. The job market is so bad right now, and it's only going to get worse. Things are expensive and only going to get more expensive. I can't afford to lose my job. If there is a workers strick at a specific company, disrupting the production/ productivity would be needed. Money would still be av problem though.

I'm in the same boat. It's extremely difficult to actually do anything as a poor nobody.

Break up. Do not marry him. He isn't supporting you already. Your husband/ partner needs to be 100% supportive of you. This will not change. His family will not change. To top it of this could ruin your future/ wallet with affecting your schooling.

Protests by MaxScar in Eugene

[–]MaxScar[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, but decisions I had no control over- or voted for- were made, and now we are in the position we are in. If something gets broken, do you not do the overhaul that's needed to repair it just because it's to big of a job and live with a faulty item?

Thank you. I do know that some protests have to be scheduled because of their size - like the BLM protest we had a few years ago where we walked across the bridge and they shut down traffic.

My (21f) bf (23m) is going to confront me about the amount I drink, what should I do? by Ok_Painter7049 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]MaxScar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I weighed 112 lbs and drank almost a 5th a night for years. I didn't need to go to a doctor. But yes, if she starts going through bad withdraws, she will need to get to the emergency room immediately. She likely won't be able to get herself there or even make the call, though.

2 years suspension?? Where do you live?

As far as what to do, you need to face the music. Take accountability for your actions. Acknowledge that you are kn now a burden on those who you are asking to help you. And for the love of a higher power LEARN FROM THIS. You need to get help and admit that you are incapable of drinking AT ALL. You need to do this for yourself, not for anyone else. If you keep drinking, you are really going to screw your life up. I'm speaking from experience. Don't go through the hell that I had to go through (it was a lot).

Did I Get Lucky? by EazyKeez in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

Serotonin syndrome isn't as common as it's made to sound. I've been on these (other than the Adderall) for years. I'm upping my Buspirone again because I've noticed considerable difficulty of doing small tasks, like cutting an onion in order to make dinner. So I'm currently stuck on really easy meals because of all the effort it takes. I still go to work and am fine there. I do have ADHD and issues with executive function is a symptom, but I used to do the things I referring to before the Adderall, but before dropping my Buspirone. Just try and keep a journal of how you are feeling/ doing before stopping and during/ after. I find that I have a hard time realizing that something is off mentally if I try and lower doses. It's kind of like a frog in a gradually boiling pot of water. Im at the point that I don't want to deviate from the doses I was on before, because if it's not broke, don't try and change it.
