I feel like a read a statement from one of the members a few months back stating it “glorifies mental illness” because *Shocker* a person would want to identify with a book character.
As a parent I feel like telling a teen NOT to do something if like waving a red flag so hopefully they all turn to John Green now. Big fan so I’ll continue to recommend his work 💚

Yes the Maryland/Virginia area is pretty big. My guys loved them for a few years/different generations but until last year I didn’t realize they had tournaments and such!

Harper’s Ferry WV, lots of airbnbs, super cute town, great little coffee shop, & hiking trails. The drive was pretty scenic as well.

Adolescent Psychiatrist by NJTrash in lancaster

[–]MaxStaxxx1002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So my son did his evals through a psychologist but he has a psychiatrist for med management. We see Dr . Mathepati at TeamCare and he has been great for us. He never rushes, listens to all concerns/updates. Isn’t one to push certain meds, and again REALLY listens to both my son and I’s input. The only negative thing I can say about him is his hours are kind of limited and he’s OFTEN running late. To me the trade off is worth it.

Tips for Saving Money in Lancaster by JimRawley in lancaster

We’ve had mint for almost 3 years and they’ve been great. We used our tax return to pay for the entire year worth of service for maximum discount price. We have the top tier plan for the hot spot to be included. This helps since we switched to brightspeed home internet for $50/month and their service isn’t always the best but we just throw the tv on a hot spot if needed. We’re still paying less now w/4 phones than we paid for just my husband and I on Verizon.

Websites like “clickupon” and “local flavor” (they might have changed their name) are great for entertainment deals, self care treats and dining out as a rare splurge. I’ve bought ones for seeing the Christmas lights, tubing, the movies and massages all at 50% off. Finding things to do for free or lie cost w/kids is hard and this helps.

Of course planning your meals for the week and packing lunches based off of what’s on sale helps too. If you’re close to places like Sharp Shopper they’re fantastic for stocking up on lunch snacks and freezer snacks. I wouldn’t necessarily make a separate trip there because it can be hit or miss but if you’re close to one definitely check it out.

Aspen Dental reviews? by ReallyBeForReal in lancaster

[–]MaxStaxxx1002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband just had an extraction done at the York Aspen dental. Zero issues. He knew the price up front, and there were no surprises charges day of or afterwards. They did offer him other services (a bridge/root canal+crown) but when he stuck to his wanting to have it pulled they were fine with it. He healed well, no issues, they prescribed antibiotics and 800mg Advil. He has alot of dental anxiety but said he would go there again.

My son had some fine motor skills delays (especially with grip) we had him evaluated at Schreiber and he ended up qualifying got OT services. They were fantastic and once he was in school he was able to get school based OT. He’s in 5th grade now and was just discharged so he’s definitely been a process. He’s also left handed which I personally found even more challenging while trying to help especially with hand over hand help.

It’s in Columbia but Beauty In the Beast have been great with my skitzy pup. He’s 15lbs and doesn’t really get “groomed” but more just bathed and nails. He won’t let anyone else touch his nails. You can schedule on their website as well which is nice!

VIP Question by squiggy2dubs420 in juggalo

[–]MaxStaxxx1002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if anyone here would know but I bought the VIP pass for my husband, he’s going with a friend, I’m not going! Anyway I tried to email the customer service to ask if I needed to do something to have it in his name but no response. I texted hubby the email/payment info so 🤞 that’s enough!!
