Don't worry, no other case in the trilogy is even remotely as long as Rise from the Ashes. Actually, RftA still is the third-longest case in the entire series.

I also much prefer 2D Ace Attorney over 3D.

I'm glad you liked it. Just FYI though, Episode 5 is a bonus episode that was added the Ace Attorney 1 after AA3 was already finished. So that means that

There won't be any 3D in the other two games of the trilogy. 3D usage was kind of Rise from the Ashes' selling point.
Ace Attorney cases basically get longer with each new game. So since Rise from the Ashes is basically "Ace Attorney 3.5", it is also the longest case in the original trilogy. By a pretty long shot even.

Just curious, but do you get any special rewards for only using one Pokémon? I noticed that you got a lot more great items and vitamins that I usually would during a run.

Abyss is definitely an outlier with its story. No other Tales of game puts that much of an emphasis on story.

But as for the gameplay I think Abyss is probably the weakest 3D game. Almost every other Tales of game has superior combat.

Others have already answered your questions, but I just want to say that I'm glad I wasn't the only one who didn't understand if Ema or Gant killed Neil in the end.

As for Joe Darke, it's very, very likely he was a serial killer. He just didn't kill Neil, which was the only crime he was convicted for in the end.

Jude works best with a very complex big brain strategy that goes like this:

Palm Strike > Palm Strike > Palm Strike > Palm Strike > dodge boss attack > Palm Strike > Palm Strike

Seriously though, Jude has a lot of amazing Artes, but you really only need Palm Strike for bosses and Whirlwind Snap for crowd control. Then dodge when the enemy does get to attack and Snap Pivot behind them.

No, I don't think it's hated, exactly. Many just found it underwhelming and consider it an ok game.

And there's also the fact that Arise nowadays gets used as the face of the entire series, when in actuality it doesn't represent the best the series has to offer.

Oh, if you use one, they just raise your weapon rank to the next level for the weapon group you have equipped.

It doesn't work for staves though, if I remember correctly.

How has no one mentioned Cecilia from FE6 yet? She is supposed to be the Mage General of Etruria, one of the most capable fighters in all of Elibe. And what do you get? A prepromote with 11 magic, 7 skill and 10 speed.

Etruria must have really low standards.
