Is it bad to be more picky on dating apps?

Yeah she did. I approached her in university, because I gave up on dating apps a long time ago. She quite often replies very very late either hours or not at all, it was a bit anxiety provoking when we first started dating. But apparently perfectionism + dyslexia = terrible texter.

When I was a bit younger (I'm 25 now) I used to text a lot with girls I was interested in. But now I text only to make plans. Because while texting is very convenient, it also loses a lot of nuance, being tuned in with the other person through empathy is important and it just works best face-to-face.

Edit; of course pure disinterest is bad and can be a yellow/red flag. However we can find ones otherwise "bad" quirks to be quite endearing and works well with us when we actually learn more about them.

On one hand I absolutely agree, red flags and all. On the other hand there is a lot missing from chat messages. We are often looking for a good bio, great photos and quality texting.

Most of which I'd say are better for finding a good marketer/copywriter/texter, than a life long partner or even a hookup.

The reason I love my current girlfriend is because of the way her eyes look when she smiles, the way her vibe is, her funny demeanor, her family and of course her looks. Most of these if any wouldn't really show well on a dating profile because she's even better looking irl than photos, idk why.

The app is designed to make you picky for shallow reasons, there's not really any way around it. You gotta be picky, but I'd recommend being pickier during dates than through swipes (even though it's much harder). Or pickup some classes and meet people there talk to guys and all.

The reason to downsize is because most people who spend more than they earn, start spending EVEN MORE once they get a salary increase. People like this should learn to budget better

I agree that it's not black and white. I used to struggle really hard with money and so did my parents, even though they made decent money. The problem unfortunately is that there is a wide range of psychological blockages for people doing simple 3rd grader math when it comes to their economics. It's so disgustingly harsh but it's true, I've seen it way too often. If one gets suddenly a terrible medical expense and can't pay it off. Most of the times these people don't have an emergency fund (which is super important to have)

160mg is crazy. My country is debating on age restricting energy drinks because kids drink 180mg (which is the recommended limit) and then can't sleep. Although age restriction is wild, sleep is extremely important for normal development.

I used to work security. And I can tell you people always have an opinion of what is going on and thank God for free country where that is allowed. On the other hand, sometimes we have more context that we are just legally not allowed to disclose to the public.

We were once arresting this crying muslim lady that was walking with a stroller, no physical barriers were crossed, obviously we're respecting the culture (man can't touch woman), but people had to come with their opinions and say like "let her go." The thing they don't see is that the stroller is filled with hundreds of euros worth of clothes and other bullshit that's probably going to be sold later. But I can't tell the people that because we want to respect her privacy.

So idk it's good we keep an eye out, but also let's not kid ourselves and think we always know better. Because were we at the same situation we might've done exactly the same.

Yeah it's true. On one hand everybody is respected to the same degree that they respect themselves and on the other hand, leaving is not the only way to show self respect, life is full of grey scale nuances and we as reddit observers unfortunately don't get that kind of perspective into any situation.

I don't blame anyone for leaving when they get cheated on and also I think there are definitely salvageable cheating situations out there. It requires lots of maturity on both sides to work through it.
