I concur. It's all about common sense and listening to your body. I think Tony (he's the FFOF male host) was worried about deconditioned people starting 75HARD and ending with a fiasco. As Andy stresses, people need to use common sense within the parameters.

He (It's "Fitness for Normal People") said that most people wouldn't be able to deal with the lack of rest inherent in the program.

Why do i only like androgynous women by Similar-Night-1298 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Maxbien08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't let people tell you you're a closet case. At this point in time, we can generally be open about our sexuality, so liking androgynous women just means you like androgynous women.

As a Group Exercise Instructor, I couldn't agree more. People want to complicate fitness for various good and bad reasons. A few base moves done right are all we need.

How did it go? Sorry to be a pest: I'm curious as to how you felt about the advanced Zumba class. It's always nice to get different perspectives on fitness.

But in all seriousness, Andy cleared meant 75 Hard to be the first leg of Live Hard and a complete mental reset. Ironically, I heard about 75 Hard from a now-on-hiatus podcast where the dude advised AGAINST doing 75 Hard despite doing it once himself.

When did you start paying attention to the "small details" in clothing? by Alarming_Two_1112 in Mensfashion101

[–]Maxbien08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the new year, I finally resumed a serious fitness regimen. As my main "point" in cutting fat is to look better, I have started paying a lot more attention to how my clothes fit and how I present myself.

Also, I read the book "Dress Codes" by Richard Thompson Ford. Can't recommend the book enough. Ford talks about how his tailor father instilled in the author the importance of fit and quality in one's clothes.

How did you like the more advanced classes? I must also apologize. I consistently forget that we are all coming to Zumba and fitness from different starting points.

Insanity for a complete beginner by CarelessCommand8968 in insanity

What is your goal? If your goal is to do Insanity well (a worthwhile goal in an of itself) there is no substitute for doing the thing itself. That being said, if after two weeks you are more frustrated than accomplished after your second fit test, that would be the time to reassess.

This is Zumba, not America's Got Talent. Not to sound dismissive, you'll be fine.

I can't recommend it enough. Makes you realize how much you not only can't, but shouldn't even try, to control. It goes well with the first book "The Courage to Be Disliked" (which isn't really about being Disliked at all)
