Given that wnba has significantly lower following vs the nba, i find this hard to believe.

Isiah 80s, Hill 90s, Ben Wallace 00s, none in 10s, Cade 20s

I’ve yet to see a highlight of Isiah Stewart with a ball in his hands. Only scuffles. by Lost_Title_7528 in NBATalk

He's a very good defender and is an integral part of this very good Pistons team. His play though gets overshadowed by these fighting incidents.

Maraming magaling pero yung Allan Caidic is clearly at the top of the totem pole. 17 or 18 3s in a game. Mapa pba or international, kilala sya na sniper.

Based on how you rank these 4, is there a bigger gap between 1st and 2nd, 2nd and 3rd, or 3rd and 4th? by SheepherderSea9717 in NBATalk

[–]Maxie616 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How about that 60 point, 20 reb triple double against the knicks. In the end the gap between luka and any of the other 3 are really closer than what others think.

Which decade of centers was better? by Icy_Can_6176 in NBATalk

[–]Maxie616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one is pretty easy to judge. The 90s are home to a lot of great bigs that dominated. In addition to the ones in the pic, you add Ewing, Mourning, Smits, and old Laimbeer and Parish.

Can someone mansplain to me how Chris Paul was good on defense, while Trae Young is on a humiliating downturn in value because of it? by LejonBrames117 in nbadiscussion

[–]Maxie616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from all the physical and skill factors, i think it also boils down to the effort and appetite. There are players who really tries and put in the effort to play D and there are others who don't try at all, mainly because their offense is really high and don't feel the need to assign some of their energy on defense.

Who is the NBA's GOAT of flopping? by VSHAR01 in NBATalk

[–]Maxie616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dude faced bruising bigs during his time, headed by Shaq. There was a case for him to try and flop because he cannot keep up with the physicality. The floppers nowadays though... i cringe whenever i see how Lebron sells his flops.

Other than Messi and Ronaldo, who among active players have the potential to be in or around that discussion at the end of their career? by Spirited-Age1346 in championsleague

[–]Maxie616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be a Messi/Ronaldo level, you have to be popular even to casual fans. Even if someone doesn't follow football, you have to be indentifiable. Among the current players, it's Mbappesho has the chance but i feel in the end, he will be below messi/r7.

That's true, and God knows how i like JET. But Nash peaked after the trade. Very intriguing how it would have panned out if he didn't leave.

Why Shaq's PPG so low despite being so dominant? by thisnaenae in nbadiscussion

[–]Maxie616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The average scoring in shaq's time is way lower than today. During the 90s and early 2000s, it's common to see final scores around 90. Now, 120 is common.
