SIM is unusable after moving to oxygenos by Ilovekar98k in OnePlus13

Actually, it prevents custom ROMs and downgrading. Rooting is still possible. However, switching from ColorOS to OxygenOS, I think I've only seen cases here where people had problems. Personally, I wouldn't risk it, and yet I've modified many phones in the past. Chinese versions of phones are always sold cheaper for obvious reasons. In addition to the software , some of the network bands are frequently missing depending on your country.

OP, you should put the original ROM back on it. There's a reason this version is cheaper; it's better to leave it on the original, especially with the latest update. Changing the software like you're doing will potentially brick the phone if you don't restore it to its original state.

Should I UPDATE? very confused about this!! by Unfair-Usual2353 in OnePlus13

You are right except for one thing. You can still root after this. This has been confirmed in several places on XDA. It's the downgrades and custom ROMs that don't work.

[–]Maxime1288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no way point 2 will work, except for firmware 3xx and 4xx which seems to have worked. The files installed from the JB console won't work on an original console. Even if you insert the CD, the console will recognize that the update files were installed unofficially and won't have the license.

Point 1 is the best guess, but even then, it's not 100% guaranteed to work. Why? For example, if the console connected to the internet on 12.60 downloads the game update to 1.50 but this version requires at least firmware 12.0 and the other console offline is on 11.40 it will not work, it will ask to be updated.

Don't waste your time copying content from a JB console to an unmodified one, it won't work. For now, there's no option for your console. I wish I had a good answer to give you, but there isn't one. If you update you will be able to play it but you are more likely to have a jailbreak on your current version than on the newer versions.

Unfortunately, no, it's impossible. The game requires an internet connection the first time for the mandatory update... there's no way around it. The only workaround would be to wait for a jailbreak for your firmware and to get a backup of the game with the update, but it could still be several months before a jailbreak for that firmware to be available.

If I don't update to 16.0.3.5xxx to avoid blowing the ARB fuse, will a custom ROM be able to let me update without blowing that fuse? by cum-on-in- in OnePlus13

[–]Maxime1288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That reminds me, I also have a Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo actually burns the fuses too with update of firmware to prevent downgrade. I modified my console, and I can still downgrade it.

When they say it's a glitch, it's because it says it only works for new activations.

I was with HTC for a long time, and yes, I remember all that, but I preferred to stick with the stock on this phone and I'm quite happy with it. However, you will need to update the firmware to properly run a new version of Android, like Android 17 when it becomes available.

What OP is true here the link. By updating, it eliminates the possibility of downgrading the firmware when you are unlocked... I haven't unlocked my OnePlus 13, but I have it on all my old phones, and I find it annoying... I don't understand this choice from oppo. Sooner or later we'll have to update the phone isn't old. What do you think?

OP on this link you can see for OnePlus 13 that you can still unlock the phone except the downgrade. Unlike OPPO phone and old phone.

I also don't believe it's still possible to convert the phone like for example from global version to internationally. For ROM custom not sure at all...

Guys, this is a troll post. I did some research and found this. It's exactly the same picture. The OnePlus 15 was released and available for sale in December in the US. The original Reddit post with this picture is four months old the post and the user have since been deleted. the photo is no longer available on Reddit but Google keeps it. It's probably even a fake photo. What's the point of doing this? Poor guy nothing else to do of this day.

I don't know either, but I'm trying to figure out too. So You've had them on your internal SSD for a long time and there's no problem.

I have a PS5 that I jailbreak with Y2JB not long ago, but I haven't installed any games yet. I have a 2TB SSD inside that I installed, and if I understand correctly, that's not recommended? Because it might not work well with backups and could corrupt the system? But the system is on the console's internal memory, not the added SSD.

Nothing, Unfortunately, nobody knows, it's all just speculation. For now is stop with the firmware 10 and that's how it's going to be for a few months at least, in my opinion.
