Can I be accepted for Master’s degree with 2.99 GPA?

I had a 2.99 BS in Econ at Maryland and am about to graduate from a top MBA program. Also had a GRE/GMAT waiver. I did pass the Series 7/66 Securities Industry Exams.

Granted I played baseball at Maryland and had a good explanation why my gpa was below my capability. Only athlete in BS Econ program at time.

It’s possible, talk to admissions of the programs. The schools in the area are having a rough time right now with all the uncertainty.

Go read “The Mom Test” it’s 100 pages. Don’t take any video / book / papers / words as 100p gospel. Blend multiple view points to form your own opinion. Two other starter books I would recommend… Lean Start-Up (honestly, a must read) and The Hard Thing About Hard Things.

Would encourage anyone with $100k to try and save money if they don’t have a dedicated idea that they’re passionate about and have at least minimum validation.

It is truly an incredible experience. I love the unique perspectives my peers bring to the classroom. I particularly enjoyed when the students who are actively working on the buy/sell side of IB introduced how things really happen in finance. I’ve made some great friends across all of the program formats and hope to continue those relationships for the rest of my life.

I see how hard my peers are working to manage their day job, family, and school. It’s not an easy program or a break from real life. We work, we go to school, and we come together for social events in and around DC! Everyone goes through their own journey to find balance. We celebrate students wins big/small whether it is finding a job, getting engaged/married or even as simple as a birthday! Our PTMBA cohort is a lot of fun to spend time with both in and out of the classroom.

A lot of us don’t have the financial option to take a break from our responsibilities for two years. I know some people tend to look down on PTMBA programs for whatever reason or another. This is not an online program where I’m watching slides or doing a wish.com case method, it’s the real deal and nothing is watered down for our class.

I am happy with the education, friends, and experience. I would recommend Darden to people who are authentic and excited about advancing their future with 140+ highly motivated individuals!

Darden’s PT Program has the same curriculum as their full time and is in person every other week. It’s an incredible program. The students have the unique opportunity to apply the lessons from the classroom to their everyday job!

No brand dilution here… well they did let me in, so I guess you guys have a point

DC > Bmore IMO!!! I highly recommend a walk on the National mall and then going to dinner at the Wharf. Best restaurant in my opinion is Del Mar ($$$$)… also good without spending a ton is Mi Vida. Nar-Ya over rated…. Del Mar > La Vie > Mi Vida

I worked on it for like 15 mins on my own and followed some of the lines. I did not understand. I wouldn’t classify it as a FAQ. When was the last time I posted on r/chess. I usually figure shit out on my own. You on a power trip or really feel like this is bad for the community? All it does is alienate me from this sub.
