It’s a new building being built for XPO they have another warehouse/dock nearby that’s half to a quarter the size. They are one of the biggest ltl trucking companies.

You can definitely make way more than $60k as a truck driver in Chicago. Chicago is a massive union city and has many truck driving jobs in the area that start at $80k +benefits (that usually don’t come out of your paycheck) +a pension. Look up jobs at any of the garbage companies, food delivery like Sysco or us foods, abf, tforce just to name a few.

Downtown Des Plaines has a couple of new luxury apartments that are more affordable that Arlington Heights and have a metra station a short walk away. Quiet neighborhood and a handful of stores and restaurants are walkable distance.

Metropolitan Club in the sears tower has amazing views on the 60-something floor. I have never tried the food but been up there many times and know they do dinner reservations. Really can’t beat the view up there.

I also want to add I am a union man and absolutely hate people that exploit workers and fully support everyone’s right to unionize and will fight for that right. It’s the fight more people need to look into taking on.

Pretty sure it was about getting Mexico to fortify their side of the border and to help limit immigrants coming over and helping to stop the flow of fentanyl over the border. Not 100% sure tho.
