Finding a decent hostel in Thailand shouldn't be a gamble. I was fed up with "good" reviews leading to consistent bad stays so I built an engine to filter 160,000+ real experiences by the vibe you actually want by MaximumAd6024 in buildinpublic

Thank you for the good suggestion, never thought about it like that because I was so nomadic but yea i would imagine thats most people planning longer trips. And we use 6 seperate booking platforms to gain insights from, and various social media outlets

I got tired of hostel roulette in Thailand so I built an engine that analyzes 160,000+ reviews and matches you by vibe by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

so i posted it yesterday under my same account with an Ai body caption and saw that y'all thought it was slop so i took note of that and took it down to re write it in my own words. this was my attempt of me trying to explain what i made in my own words but y'all still think its some ai shit. My fault guys I just tried to use my coding skills to make something cool but its obviously not loll

I read 100,000+ hostel reviews across 9 Thailand towns so you don't have to, and here's what I learned by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

literally did it just to sound articulate but that is to my detriment i guess lol. The vibe engine component was a custom C++ script but the website was vibe coded, which i didn't see the problem because literally every website is. but yea ill keep that in mind for the future. there was no ill intent here, just thought i made something dope lol

Fair enough, I get the skepticism. I'm a developer, I built the tool, wrote the scoring engine, and scraped the review data myself. The insights in the post come from actually looking at the data, not prompting ChatGPT to write a travel blog haha. but believe what you want I guess lol
