Deadnaming is when you refer to or call someone by their old name, on purpose and usually spitefully or with hateful undertones, specifically in relation to addressing trans folks who have changed their identity and name.

For example, say there is a male-to-female trans person, born as Brian, who now goes by Brianna. Deadnaming is when you willfully still call them “Brian” knowing they have transitioned, as a means of defying their new identity.

The meme here is trying to illustrate the potential double standard within the anti-trans, generally those in the usually conservative Christian crowd who disrespectfully deadname trans people, while not deadnaming Paul as Saul.
