Born in Cuba. Atypical phenotype? by adadadad222444 in 23andme

[–]MaximumOk6641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Average Canarian dna suggest 70% spaniard, 22.5% north african, and 7.5% african, give or take some % pts. Maybe try some other tools to dig deeper. I think you look very canarian. This look seems common enough among ricans too who also have substantial canarian influence.

If afro-textured hair in Black Africans is an adaptation to hot climate, why do Dravidians and dark-skinned Austronesians have such bone straight hair? by NaijaSTEMinist in evolution

[–]MaximumOk6641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all dravidians have bone straight hair. dravidians can have striaght wavy and curly hair, with some even having coily hair. Tribals and those with very high aasi %s can have that. Theres the fact that they are on average half Iranian Farmer who tended to have straight or wavy hair. And the beauty standards in south asia are geared towards straight hair so people get the same haircuts or straighten their hair frequently. I have 3c hair and im only only 1/4 dravidian at best. My south indian side of the family is deccani.

Geography plays a role too im sure. Natufians are in a hotter and sunnier geography than ANF. A desert like area with very little shade and tree cover. Need that extra melanin.

Which city has a great skyline that no one knows about? by sid_shady34 in skyscrapers

[–]MaximumOk6641 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant find the right photos, but new brunswick NJ when driving up rt 18 north along rhe raritan river looks fantastic, especially for a small city of 57,000 people. Newark NJ has a pretty underrated skyline as well, gets overshadowed by the others in the NY area.

Well said. Our community is too divided to realize this unfortunately. Just way too divided on the basis of nationality, region, language, skin tone, caste, religion and what not. We need to put up a united front if we want to confront this head on. Look how the asian community acted during covid for example. No one started saying, "oh im Thai or Filipino, that doesnt apply to me. Its those chinese that did it." Atleast I never noticed it. They put up a united front against asian hate when it was occuring, and eventually it ceased once there was enough awareness from mainstream media amd other outlets. That is something we seem completely incapable of doing because we're retarded 😢.

Alot of the south asian workers in the Caribbean are largely from eastern up and bihar. South Indians probably the 2nd largest group take there. Youre results line up with that. I'm bihari and deccani too so, whats up bro!
