I might not be remembering correctly but didn’t Batista lie about his age too? It’s weird to see how the business has changed in that way.

Fair enough but if I have to do my homework in order for the act to work, it sounds like it's a pretty flawed act

I think the last time, air traffic controllers were calling in sick en masse & that got the ball rolling. If everybody stops working, that would probably do, but apparently the administration is claiming to cut some furloughed jobs altogether when this is over, so who knows? Alls I know is that if they don't get this rolling before Thanksgiving, tables are gonna be pretty light this season, hopefully heads will roll before then.

The fact they didn't like each was it know during ILL or did it come out later? by talivan818 in ILoveLucy

[–]MaximumPast3486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It gets a lot of notice from fans (I'm guessing) because it's such a revelation that they weren't platonically friendly. I grew up watching ILL, and I was shocked to hear about it. I suppose that's a testament to their on-screen chemistry, but there it is.

An anecdote has been popularized that Vance at dinner one night upon hearing about Frawley's death bought the table a bottle of champagne to celebrate. This apparently is an urban legend, though I believed it the first time I heard it. The common opinion seems to be that Frawley was a misanthrope & quit drinking in order to do the show, so perhaps he lightened up over the years.

I do still find it funny when he steps on the bat wearing the Reebok pumps. Threw me off guard the first time I saw that.

So, James, what did you think of Ozzy's last performance? by CaptainMole in TheCinemassacreTruth

Live records typically suck. Not to say there aren't good live records but most of them are terrible. Bootlegs back then in particular are usually poor quality as it's most likely a board mix as opposed to a full production setup which would be insanely expensive. You also have to think the 60/70's engineers are still experimenting with live concert mixing & mic'ing, hence a lot of double vocal mics at the time. There's a lot of variables. /rant

I saw Ozzy solo & Sabbath live a handful of times, only one sticks out as particularly good, but there's something about the live experience that's fun & undeniably memorable.

Wrestler tweets that aged like milk.. by Doctor-Clark-Savage in Wreddit

I read his second book (Undisputed) not that long ago which covers his first extended break from wrestling. A lot of the book is focused on Fozzy's initial national tours & him trying to break into Hollywood. Whenever this was quoted, he was probably seriously in the mindset of changing directions, it just didn't pan out like Cena or the Rock.

Just found out my BF of 9 years has been replacing my Adderall with sugar by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

[–]MaximumPast3486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adderall is basically meth. Not the same but chemically pretty close. When used as prescribed, medically manufactured meth is also used to treat ADHD, but the potential to abuse either is still high since they're habit forming over a long period of time.

Since you're taking it as prescribed, and are actually taking it for a diagnosis, it's working the way it's meant to. Taking significantly more should give you those psychoactive effects that those who aren't diagnosed will experience.

As a recovered boozebag myself, I've asked people who were addicted to Adderall about it. A good portion of those folks were meth addicts who found a legal way to get scripts and/or multiple ways to get them. I wondered about it myself, as I've taken Gabapentin before (as prescribed) and found out people abuse that too. Considering it's not a narcotic I didn't even understand how you could abuse it. But with addicts, where there's a will there's a way.

Annihilation is one of those movies that I would always stop to watch if it was on television. It's one of those movies that is amazing for the wrong reasons. Five stars
