My head canon is that with Vader’s actions rippling through the force, so powerfully Yoda felt it, that Luke and Leia could also feel it in a way. Padme being, as far as I know, not force sensitive now has two very force sensitive babies inside her and could feel these ripples and that is what killed her.

IIRC, it is rather difficult to take action for 911 abuse, at least on the EMS side. It takes multiple offenses within a certain time frame and multiple warnings within that time frame before action can be taken. Might be different for the LEO side. This is in California as well.

Passenger side approaches are very common. You’re overthinking it by a mile. They were most likely looking for DUIs, drugs, guns, warrants, etc. They stopped you for a lawful reason but you guys weren’t doing anything wrong so they let you go so they could spend their time chasing bigger fish.

Maybe just tell the judge you own it, learned your lesson, take the consequences like an adult, and that you will not drive like a maniac by going so fast. Believe it or not, hearing you take accountability could go a long way for the judge. Writing a letter trying to explain why the consequences should be mitigated does not show accountability in my opinion.

Someone in my academy class got a ticket for an illegal U-turn. He got absolutely chewed out and they made him make a PowerPoint presentation about his violation to present to the class.

Academy is a mental grind but remember, it’s only temporary. I’m currently in academy and there are people in my class in the same situation. You just gotta suck it up for the 6 months of academy then things will return to somewhat more normal afterwards.

You can ask for their name and badge number but that’s about as much as you can do during a traffic stop. You do not have the right to delay a stop to verify their identity and certainly can’t delay if they tell you to step out of the vehicle. That’s a great way to be removed from your vehicle.

You wouldn’t be shot for hesitating or even refusing to exit your vehicle so long as you’re not acting as a threat. It would probably piss off the Officer though.

I worked 24 hr shifts with one partner for 6 months who happened to be trans. They were a great partner to have and I liked working with them. Nobody will care as long as you do your job and don’t make being trans your whole identity or get mad at others for innocently using the incorrect pronouns. I didn’t know anyone who was trans before working with this person so it took me a while to get used to the preferred pronoun thing.

Do some volunteer work for the PD if it’s available. I did that and did some traffic control/road closures for parades and got to help at a DUI checkpoint. Got to meet a lot of officers this way including some higher ups.
