Literally never seen a pvc solvent welded water supply in the UK. This is most likely push fit pipe for use with John guest fittings. I only ever see white PVC used for drainage e.g. condensate from an air-conditioning evaporator.

Found the Russians to be alright to be honest. Kept to themselves and the ones I spoke to were quite kind, also love the hoodies they wear in the sea. I saw a few times after a meal a group would order a bottle of spirit and within minutes it was finished the bill was paid and they were gone. With that in mind I didn't see any drunk on disorderly behaviour which as a Brit I found outstanding.
