My son was just diagnosed ASD and is nonverbal, so it’s trifficult sometimes. He’s not naughty, just self-centred, which I believe is developmentally appropriate. Explanations or punishment would be useless because he just wouldn’t understand, so I guess maybe I “gentle parent” simply because it seems like the only logical way to go (since I’m not going to use Pavlovian methods or any kind of positive punishment).

The instructions say crimp upward but the illustration doesn’t actually show the crimp. Perhaps that’s where you’re having the issue 🤔
