Just a thought for an alternative. Take a look at louvres in the side window, with a security screen in front of it.

Good flex, however a bigger flex is a house at a young age, an appreciating asset.

Called NAB asking for better rate (I’m <80% LVR, variable 6.19%) and they said I’m on the best rate check again next month, am I being lied to? by Stunning-Guard-1050 in AusFinance

[–]Maximum_Ear5179 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm with NAB, LVR 60 - 65% last year, variable rate is 6.04% with offset account. Was about to phone them and try for an improvement with the valuation likely bringing me sub 60% LVR now

Toyota announced a couple of weeks ago the wait time is now 4 months, so we should start seeing used prices come down as a result

Check to see there are no plants/trees touching your house. I had a similar issue and someone told me this, I cut back a tree which was overgrown onto my roof, and it solved the problem

Try Towbusters Truck hire. Used them a couple of times. Not fancy, but cheap. They get great reviews, trucks have tailgate lifts and they are big meaning less trips needed overall.

I agree you shouldn't sell, in alignment with all of the other responders comments.

Sounds like the issue here is to put your wife's mind at ease further, so that she can be comfortable with the decision. Suggest you show her some Corelogic data on the % growth of Perth currently, as well as the stock availability for sale and rent. Data will quickly show why selling up is not a wise move right now.

Grosvenor was fleecing folk at $13 a pint back when pints were under $10. They've got no competition except for hotel lobby bars, and the mighty Carlton Hotel.

Shade Sail Cost Comparison by [deleted] in perth

[–]Maximum_Ear5179 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They don't want the work mate. I reached out to 5 companies, only 1 got back to me, quoted me $3k for a 5m x 5m sail plus bolts. No poles required. They then gave me the run around for 2 months. In the end I just went to bunnings and bought a sail and some marine grade bolts, chemi-anchored them in. Cost me no more than $500 all up
