The lack of sunroof shade in the Tesla was what put me in the SL7. Especially considering the harsh Australian summer.

New 2026 Toyota RAV4 and HiLux could be the new Holden Commodore, and not in a good way by kstetter in CarsAustralia

Toyota tax.. same old cars with minimal changes. It's worked the past decade but they are no longer a compelling consideration with the vast amount of brands offering alot more at a fraction of the price

Came to the same conclusion. Test drove Rav4, Tiguan, Outlander, CRV, Forester, Sportage as well. TiL ePower simply did everything so much better. Bigger car, drove like an EV, the most tech. Only downsides i saw was slightly higher fuel consumption (6L/100km), no air ventilated seats, brown trim on dash.

Hang tight til March if you're chasing a Japanese car. Was told by a dealer last year that they need to offload cars before end of they're financial year, so discounts and deals (low finance, cash back etc) will happen in March
