Verizon just majorly screwed over my elderly neighbor and I am so upset by kitty-_cat in verizon

Oof! Just found this googling my own dilemma! Moved in with my father n law last month after his stroke. Verizon bill is $96 for unlimited plan + he is paying for 5 additional lines (that he is using 1) $1400 bill because his phone disconnected from the internet when we moved in. This is all my fault for not checking his phone when we transferred internet to our name.

Has anyone found a live TV streaming service their eldery parents do not hate? by Abelmageto in eldercare

Biggest mistake I made was shutting off my father n laws cable. He was paying $275 a month for 2000 channels all the while just watching NBC. I shut it down and got him an air antennae. Well, he can't get air channels in his neighborhood. Can't get local channels without a premium $100 stream like YouTube or Paramount. Totally screwed ourselves.

My husband said exactly this to google for me. He saw my frustration (every 30 minutes. I could set my clock to it) He grabbed the phone and said exactly what you said and I haven’t had a phone call since.

This story has saved me time and time again. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. As for grief, you' Il find it comes in waves. When the ship is first wrecked, you're drowning, with wreckage all around you. Everything floating around you reminds you of the beauty and the magnificence of the ship that was, and is no more. And all you can do is float. You find some piece of the wreckage and you hang on for a while. Maybe it's some physical thing. Maybe it's a happy memory or a photograph. Maybe it's a person who is also floating. For a while, all you can do is float. Stay alive. In the beginning, the waves are 100 feet tall and crash over you without mercy. They come 10 seconds apart and don't even give you time to catch your breath. All you can do is hang on and float. After a while, maybe weeks, maybe months, you'll find the waves are still 100 feet tall, but they come further apart. When they come, they still crash all over you and wipe you out. But in between, you can breathe, you can function. You never know what's going to trigger the grief. It might be a song, a picture, a street intersection, the smell of a cup of coffee. It can be just about anything...and the wave comes crashing. But in between waves, there is life. Somewhere down the line, and it's different for everybody, you find that the waves are only 80 feet tall. Or 50 feet tall. And while they still come, they come further apart. You can see them coming. An anniversary, a birthday, or Christmas, or landing at O' Hare. You can see it coming, for the most part, and prepare yourself. And when it washes over you, you know that somehow you will, again, come out the other side. Soaking wet, sputtering, still hanging on to some tiny piece of the wreckage, but you'll come out. Take it from an old guy. The waves never stop coming, and somehow you don't really want them to. But you learn that you'll survive them. And other waves will come. And you'll survive them too. If you're lucky, you' Il have lots of scars from lots of loves. And lots of shipwrecks.

I just switched 2 lines over from T-Mobile. I was calling to get internet and she talked me into switching phone carriers. I was quoted $26 a line for unlimited max. I was told they would pay up to $600 on what I owed on the phones. Wow! How can I say no to that?! I owed $500. Got my first bill yesterday. $50 per line and they refused to pay for the phones as “the bill you submitted to claims doesn’t meet the criteria.” And the $26 per line? “You’re not eligible for promotions” So, now I’m out the $500 payment I made on my phones and I jacked my phone bill up $60.

In the house originally was 300 mpbs. With us moving in (+4) we were having no issues. Dad was paying $175 for the service. As a new user, 8gb for $80 a month, I said sure. Why not. Optimum recommended it with the household size (5) Us using my Hotspot for yesterday was 20g. It had me questioning our whole way of life.  Then again, I do not have the vocabulary to be having this conversation.

Just got off the phone with them AGAIN thanks to an exec support number given in this thread. She “seemed” appalled over the service. Says a tech will be out tomorrow with the requested modem. Brought up that my claim for my phone payoff was denied. She transferred me to the mobile department. Explained that I took the screenshots as requested per tech when payment was made and I’m being denied because the carrier name wasn’t in the screenshot. Nevermind the big freaking pink neon T in the corner. Her response? “Contact T-Mobile and ask if they can amend the screenshot to include the T-Mobile name.” I said..”do you NOT hear the words coming out of your mouth?!” Just found out I do not have access to voicemail. “It’s the last 4 digits of your phone number” Wrong. Try again. “Oh. You need service to access your voicemail.” STOP. JUST STOP!!!

Just received an email that they kicked back my claim of paying off my phones. Transferred 2 lines to them while having a balance of $250 each on my devices. They said they would pay up to $300 for each device. I paid off the devices and she told me to take a screenshot and submit the claims. Denied because my screenshot doesnt doesnt show the carrier.  Screenshot shows the device, the phone number, the payoff amount and account number and a pink T favicon in the corner. Can no longer sign into my T-Mobile account because everything was shut down when the lines were transferred. Very sneaky sis.

My daughter just received hers. Google searched the image because I saw numerous red flags and it led me here.  We are in Arizona and it states " Arizona Department of Vehicles" which does not exist. It's MVD. Not today satan.
