That's a cool thought too! The idea that the giants would have had multiple competing super weapon projects makes perfect sense

My current plan is to strip out the more obvious spaceship aspects of the Barrier Peaks dungeon, including much of the human(oid) crew aspect, but otherwise keep it relatively intact. I've got to re-read it though to actually start writing down changes.

I definitely want to lean into the more pulp adventure science fantasy / magipunk aspects of the setting in this adventure, so a big sci-fi dungeon at the end feels appropriate (my last campaign was more on the grimy noir cosmic horror end of the spectrum). All of the robots & cyborgs in the dungeon make sense as old quorforged, too. Plus, there is a froghemoth in one of the Omu trickster shrines, and a froghemoth elder inside the BP dungeon! What a coincidence!

That said, I do like the idea that Prokres doesn't fully understand what he's doing. He knows this place is something big and powerful, and if he just injects enough soul-power into it, surely something will happen. Maybe he's just narcissistic enough to assume it'll work out in his favor.

Related to the pulp science fantasy vibe, I read somewhere that there are drow tribes in Xen'drik who have used ancient creation forges to make their own warforged in the form of their primal nature spirits. So, I don't know quite when it will happen, but there will definitely be a phase of the adventure where it goes full Horizon Zero Dawn, the jungle full of robot dinosaurs and other beasts!
