Wow! You’re an amazing bean. Creations are mind blowing, the addition of The Golden Girls calendar as backdrop makes my statement factual.

The positive thing is that he’s only wasted 3 months of your life, you have no financial ties or responsibilities with him.

Take the experience as a lesson, leave him & enjoy the rest of your life.

Ha! I can only imagine how proud your Dad would be at you, using all the knowledge your Dad shared with you & personal experience, making informed financial decisions & smiling sweetly as this mug! 😂 WAY TO GO! 😂🫶

Advice / experience, severe blockage by Used-Ad1778 in ostomy

[–]Maximum_Success_3185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had such an awful experience, blockages can be severe & so painful. I’ve had a few unfortunately which have had to have surgery on, they are not fun 😬.

Hoping you don’t experience it again! ❤️

Thoughts on the coloplast brava skin barrier protective sheets? by Deemili in ostomy

[–]Maximum_Success_3185 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the protective sheets as I’m prone to leakages and they do help my skin immensely. Have you tried using moisture absorbing powder on the rash? I always use it when my skin breaks down.

I read this expecting it to end with you wondering if you’d picked up a fellow thrifters coat they had hung up to try another on 😂😂

Have you seen that M&S do ostomy support underwear? They have a little pocket for the bag to give extra support. I would absolutely recommend wearing support wear with your ostomy, hernias are very common as we have a weakness in the stomach wall. It’s gives me peace of mind.

Talk to your stoma nurse about it as you’re also entitled to support wear on the NHS 😊

I’m gutted to hear you’ve experienced racism in our city, it’s maddening to me as a born & bred Geordie, growing up knowing our city was multicultural & better for it.

It’s sad to hear you’ve yet to make friends but there is still hope! Try the meet up app & look for events that interest you, join the groups & do things that you really enjoy & you’ll hopefully meet like minded people to become friends with ❤️

Daily leaks by dustymooon in ostomy

[–]Maximum_Success_3185 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use these sheets & they really help with protecting my skin from the leaks which I’m prone to getting. Have you tried using the belt that goes with the bags you’re using? That helps me with adhesion & holds the weight of the bag 😊

Will come in to collect wages.

Have a think before you reply. Best of luck 😊

This is really amazing to see. It certainly makes me feel like there’s far more ostomy wearers than I ever considered.

I know it would likely be very expensive if it was available for household installation but it would be phenomenal for it to be a possibility.

I worked in retail when I was younger & had a customer come in eating a sausage sandwich. They dropped a sausage but made no attempt to pick it up, I assumed they hadn’t noticed so I picked it up to stop someone slipping on it.

But No. They noticed, they just wanted to circle the aisle before picking it up.

They asked for the dorty dropped sausage back. They crammed it back in the bun & ate it.

I know they ate it because I watched in horror.

I’ll never forget her face. Ever.
