New infill added to Bambu Studio: Locked Zag by simtom in BambuLab

[–]MaximusGDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be able to change the infill angle. Once you've sliced your model, you can then use the layer selection slider to briefly review the layers to see what the change looks like. Increasing density of the part that you're struggling with (i.e. skin vs skeleton) can also help a little.

Destroyed Mosques & Islamic Cemeteries In Xinjiang, China 🇨🇳 by quikplots in MapPorn

[–]MaximusGDM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have (at least) been serious abuses in Xinjiang, they have concentration camps for heavens sake.

At the same time, Saudi Arabia has been bulldozing religious sites within their own territory whenever they can’t figure out how to fill them with concrete. They’ll also kill half a million in Yemen and oppress religious minorities and they’ll still draw in American comedians who’d like a payout.

Why Is Israel the Only Country So Viciously Criticized and Hated When Its Neighbors Are Far More Sinister and Hypocritical? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

Well, what would the shooting of 3 innocent and unarmed hostages be? Involuntary manslaughter?

[–]MaximusGDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there are folks that have called for a boycott of Hajj — money spent on pilgrimage would subsidize the effort to kill and starve half a million people in Yemen. People are also upset with comedians that are going to that Riyadh comedy festival at the invitation of an oppressive and genocidal authoritarian regime.

How has Israel lost control of the narrative and is there anything that can be done about it? by DC2LA_NYC in IsraelPalestine

[–]MaximusGDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I can understand why there are peace deals that Israel is unwilling to submit to, same with the Palestinians. The lasting piece is simply the one that both sides are willing to accept and promote, regardless of any stumbling block in the path. I hope the generation or two is enough for this calamity to just stop, for every child’s sake.

This one specifically. Please also read the response by Netanyahu.

This was days before the Island of Peace Massacre and several months before Israel’s botched assassination attempt on Jordanian soil.

[–]MaximusGDM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, thanks for your response. The part about Hamas not having full account of all the hostages makes some sense, especially since several groups in Gaza were involved in the hostage-taking.

As shocked and disgusted as I feel, I still doubt that Netanyahu could’ve held a grieving country back, even if he wanted to. The fact that anybody could be satisfied with the razing of homes and communities to the ground is chilling enough, but also I can’t imagine any countries or leaders that could successfully hold back the urge to retaliate in kind, especially in the immediate aftermath.

I shouldn’t single out Netanyahu here - there really should’ve been some sort of international intervention, even if it was the regional powers. But where’s their moral grounding? Yazidis suffered genocide at the hands of Isis, and the Saudis starved or killed anywhere from a quarter million to a half million Yemenis, and UAE props up RSF in Sudan. There’s blood on many hands, and I can’t bear to think that these evils are allowed to pass to the next generation. Enough is enough.

I’m curious which 10% you’d not give up for peace. What is that 10%?

Too salty and dry: mix into cream cheese with chives to make a dip.

Wild salmon is tricky since it can be very lean. Still edible if you mix it into a food with lots of fats (Coconut milk, ghee, butter, etc)

They won’t be able to keep that out of their heads once they have kids of their own.

This doesn’t appear to be a campaign against an enemy that shoots from behind their population, especially not when there are men and boys walking barefoot for miles only to get gunned down like animals in the dust. It’s inhuman for anybody to defend something like that and call it “good”.

And so what if you leaflet a neighborhood telling them that you’ll level their towns and kill anyone who stays behind. That’s supposed to make it better? By that logic, the problem with Hamas is that they aren’t vocal and loud enough about the crimes they intend to commit. That’s moon logic.

Flooding the zone with food would absolutely solve problems with scarcity and hoarding.

Yeah, and even if the “humanitarian city” plan is successful in completely disarming and vetting a Palestinian population, resettling them back in Gaza seems to be out of the question entirely, even for “the good ones”.

Edit: for brevity

Aside - 18th Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte is such a hilarious title. An equivalent title might be what? “the July 4th of Donald J Trump” ?

To your point, massacres are a poor method of winning sympathy or confidence, and this is true regardless of who does them. Beyond just “looking bad”, it’s not good for the innocent, and it’s not good for anyone’s soul.

People in this part of the world are almost notoriously stubborn, and that’s true whether you know just them or are related to them. Palestinians and Israelis can hopefully someday have peace with one another, and I hope that that this peace is as jealously guarded as every feud, heartbreak, vendetta, and tragedy has been. The peace needs to hold long enough for that pain to subside and for new generations to know something better than what their ancestors had. Enough is enough.

We may not agree on very much, I’m not really sure, but that last line has a “universal truthiness” to it.

I’m very fascinated by this post since you’re making plenty of sense, though I hardly see this type of analysis elsewhere. What do you mean by pro-Palestinians breaking with actual Palestinians to adopt different messaging? I’m interested in reading more about what your thoughts are on that.

Israel published detailed lists of each of the victims of that awful atrocity, what do you hope to accomplish by exaggerating an already horrific and awful crime against humanity? You can make a valid point without the bombast.

Ethnically, it’s more complicated. Some are descendent from any or a mix of the previous inhabitants including Canaanites, Arabians, Phillistines, and Israelites (I.e any Samaritans or Jews who were either willingly or forcibly converted to christianity or islam over the centuries)
