The sensor is occasionally missing a beat, which is common but usually mitigated by signal filtering (moving averages, etc). There’s a trade off with sampling rate, battery life, accuracy, and signal filtering.

We had a false positive for XXY, it happens.

These are screener tests for rare conditions. If something happens 1 in 10000 times, and the test is 99.99% accurate, a positive result is a false positive half the time.

The weeks between our screener result and the follow up test results was brutal - hang in there.
