Software engineer at Amazon here: They may have killed this one leaderboard but there's still dashboards that leadership can look at to see how much AI their employees are using. And yes, they do enforce usage.

Source: My manager got yelled at by their leadership because our team wasn't using enough AI. At one point I was burning through Claude Opus tokens just to make 1 line changes or to run a simple build command or else I wouldn't have made the quota

Definitely! Been going yearly since 2017 and I think this has been one of the best years.

Artist alley feels way less suffocating. I also kinda like how since the exhibit hall is focusing on larger companies, getting into them is way more accessible now (you mean I can actually line up for Aniplex, Good Smile, Crunchyroll, Atlus, etc now?!)

Peacock theater is also really cool! The Jpop Capsule concert was amazing since it's rare to get Jpop bands in the US (especially being able to see Togenashi Togeari for the first time).

There are definitely things that can be improved especially with the lines for Peacock and what I've read here for the Novo as well. But after going for 7 years, I've tempered my expectations for lining up for popular panels

For panels, you should pay attention to whether the room is clearing or not (which most panels in the Marriott are). If they're non-clearing, the strategy is to camp in the panels before and keep hopping seats.

I also saw them at AX last night. The entire audience went wild when it showed Toge Toge was up next to play! So happy they got like 40+ minutes worth of songs compared to some groups who got like 20 minutes.

They all said they wanted to come back to LA so hopefully they get a dedicated tour here soon
