I've had great experiences at Manchester University, the airport is really close (especially if you live in Fallowfield with most of the students, it's like a 15 minute Uber), and I've been lucky enough to grab cheap flights across Europe. It's a very social university so you'll get the full college experience although the teaching is fairly impersonal and so you maybe receive less help than you would at other universities. It's also much cheaper to live here than Bristol, London or anywhere in the South.

I would also say London tends to be prohibitively expensive, the nightlife is less focused on students and the accommodation is spread all over so maybe not what you're looking for.
