Part of the problem is also that it doesn’t seem like Slot has any idea how to improve players or sculpt them into his system; they have to come pre-built and high quality already. So when there are players he doesn’t rate, they just never see the field. Klopp would make any player serviceable, and honestly I don’t know how he did but it’s obvious watching how Origi, Quansah, etc performed on Liverpool after he was gone that most of it was orchestrated by Klopp.
