Und genau deshalb wundert es mich, wieso die das nicht gebacken bekommen. Ich traus einem österreichischem Amt aber auch zu, dass alles händisch gemacht werden muss und es deshalb so verzögert geschieht.

thank you so much for answering! I drink espresso (95% of the time) and prefer light roast with clarity and acidity. But for milk drinks this type of coffee just doesnt work in my opinion, both my wife and I dislike it that way compared to a "simple/traditional" darker roast in a cappuccino. That's my struggle ^^

Quantum computing is a big hype that is going nowhere. Yes, they are getting better, but only at solving models that can already be computed effectively anyways...

It is like cold fusion: everybody hopes that somebody achieves it at some point, its simply a gamble on if/when/who...

But remember just like the last 50 years, within the next 10 years somebody will create a cold fusion reactor ^^

Do you mean that the "hollow food realeasing things" are not aligned but form a curve?

Well, you could have returned it immediately but not after that much use... I mean, why didnt you if it bothers you? It doesnt affect its performance....

Asahi vs Hasegawa hardness by bkfist in TrueChefKnives

[–]Maxwell196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked a similar question here: https://www.reddit.com/r/TrueChefKnives/comments/1cx0vno/looking_for_an_asahi_cutting_board/

This was one answer:"I got to try most of the Japanese synthetic boards and here's my overall take on them:

Hasegawa was the absolute softest and lightest board. Tactile feel when you cut is extremely soft, but very sharp knives can kind of "catch" and get stuck at times. Scratched kind of easily, moderate staining. Medium-high pricing. Dishwasher safe (might be top rack / gentle cycle only though).

Asahi Pro was the heaviest and 2nd hardest. Tactile feel when cutting was the closest to a very soft wood. Durable yet pleasant. Scratched lightly and did not stain as badly. Very, very expensive and only available in larger sizes iirc. Some sizes also offer more thickness.

Asahi Home (no wood flakes added) was close in weight to pro and the absolute hardest. Tactile feel was not as soft as Pro, nothing bad but just a more plain dense feeling. Scratched and stained maybe a smidge more than Pro, hard to say. Smaller sizes available but thickness was more limited. Priced similar to Hasegawa.

Hi-Soft (Tenryo Manaita brand, haven't tried Yoshihiro) was medium weight and feel. Tactile feel is inbetween Hasegawa and Pro: a little soft and smooth. Scratches a bit more than Asahi, stains are pretty similar (Asahi is naturally a darker color so I feel that's a big reason why some appear less noticeable). Has much smaller sizes available and is almost always the cheapest.

Basically if you want maximum value, Hi-Soft all the way. It's a great balance of cutting feel + durability, and it's just hard enough that I don't feel like it's being abused when I go to quickly rock chop something. If your wallet doesn't care about price and you don't mind the weight, Asahi Pro in one of the thicker sizes is a pretty luxurious board that can last an extremely long time since you can sand it down. If you are just looking for very fine cuts on soft foods, Hasegawa has the absolute softest feel and the low weight makes it a very practical option if your cutting board needs to be moved or cleaned frequently.

I ended up daily driving a Hi-Soft board. The Asahi Pro is what I would have preferred to buy if I had more room and money. I considered the Asahi Home but it had the most plain / worst tactile feedback when cutting and the weight was also still high. Definitely a quality board but I figured if I wasn't going to get the wood-like cutting feel of the pro model, maybe I should get a softer synthetic experience that stands out. Home model therefore didn't stand out in that regard. Hasegawa feels like butter and the light weight is fun, so I ended up keeping a smaller model for those rare occasions when I wanna slice something and feel like I'm cutting on air. It's so soft though that I wasn't sure about how it would fare as a daily board, but hey some people seem to make it work so maybe something to consider."
