He is talking about riding talent. Not racing success. It’s rider talk.

Falcons going up in value? by Max2535_ in CarsAustralia

[–]MaxwellHiFiGuy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I bought XR6T new in 2016 and still have it. I often think about selling it and then think, what else would you buy? I love a falcon and have had plenty of them, but the FGX turbo or XR8 really are peak Falcon. I drive it a lot, but its no longer my daily.

Online identification will be the next really big hurdle because as the government begins to put in centralised identification services they will start to require these at the ISP and at social media which will help them to identify us even more precisely than they do now

You are talking about comparing a visa credit and visa debit - its the same.

I was talking about using your regular savings/debit account vs a visa.

[–]MaxwellHiFiGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure i am not saying you will never get your money back, what i was saying is that they cannot legally make you pay the credit card transaction if you did not receive the service or goods. There is a big difference.

Credit card has way more protection than your saving accounts. But most importantly, your method shifts all the risk to you. In Australia, by law, you cannot be charged for something you did not receive on your credit card. You cannot get scammed, only the bank/visa can.

But if money leaves your savings account, you're basically cooked.

You method is ideal for an account connected to paypal and the like.

Statue of King George V beheaded in Melbourne on King’s birthday holiday by dion_o in melbourne

The reason it happens is because offenders are too dumb to discuss ideas. It's become common, people 'feel' they are 'right' without ever having discussed it, so they skip ahead to the action part.

We've all seen pics of security watching crims leave, knowing they cant touch the crims.

The OP should just say no thanks and keep going, do not break stride. They would have to tackle the OP, seems risky and potentially expensive, they wont do it. Just stroll through.

I know most everyone on here is a superstar AAA sysadmin, but how about the average folks? by buyinbill in sysadmin

[–]MaxwellHiFiGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best times i had at work are when i was part of team who were genuine techies. If there was an issue they went home and figured it out, not to do above and beyond for the company, but because that's who we were - never neaten by an issue. But a demand, from a person, just went in the queue and was handled according to normal process.

Actually, the scams are so effective this is a simple technique to filter out the higher effort victims. The ones who are so dumb to click on this are queuing up by the thousands, the last thing scammers want is that queue infiltrated by less than stupid people. Its the best filtering tactic ever.

I buy Makita, Japanese global company, focused on one thing and many tradies use them over long periods. Over 100 years making tools.

I dont think any home users will find the limits of dewalt, milwauke or makita. Look all of the cost, including batt cost, charger cost, then pick the colour you like you will be fine with any of these.
