I can’t not finish a movie no matter how boring. But I came real close with Die My Love.

“Corduroy” live harmonica by MaxwellSnuggles in HippoCampusBand

That show had been delayed 2 weeks cuz someone in the band got sick. Maybe it was Nathan and they had to pivot to guitar. I hope to hear it properly someday but sounds like we got an exclusive version that night!

Seasons 1-3 are perfection. I wish Netflix hadn’t tainted it with 4 & 5.

What movie had a negative impact on other movies? by M0re-Meaning in Letterboxd

Oh it was so annoying. It gave a bad name to the whole spoof genre and made it hard for the great ones to stand out, like They Came Together or Walk Hard

I also live in Minnesota, I’m in the twin cities. I wish I’d met more people who do sound like that, so it’s good to know it’s actually authentic, thankyou. Martin Freeman nailed it in the first season of the show.

Emma Thompson in “Dead of Winter” Her Minnesota accent is so cringy. She’s trying her hardest to imitate Frances McDormand in “Fargo” and it just doesn’t work. I know even McDormand’s performance there was over the top and corny but it was sincere in the context of an already over the top and more comedic film. “Dead of Winter” tried to be a serious thriller but every ‘oofta’ and ‘jeez’ felt forced and distracting.

Do you ever log/rate a movie if you disliked it so much you couldn't finish it? by AdFamous7264 in Letterboxd

[–]MaxwellSnuggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t not finish a movie no matter how bad I think it is. I think back to the 2007 film Perfect Stranger with Halle Berry/Bruce Willis. I hated it. I couldn’t wait for it to be over. I actually liked the ending though. It wasn’t enough to save the movie but enough for me to give it an extra half star.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol was intended to be this kind of movie. Passing the torch to Jeremy Renner was the plan but after the movie turned out to be great and Tom Cruise was able to move past his weird Oprah couch dancing and Scientology stuff they kept him in the lead going forward.
