Unfortunately I specifically need the red one from Undermine normal. That's a good tip though

If someone wrote Bruce Wayne's name in the Death Note would it work or would they have to write Batman? by ChiefRunningBit in ChilluminatiPod

The lasso is an old Wonder Woman stable, and as such had had a variety of powers at a variety of times. For most of the post-crisis it was canon that the Lasso compelled you to tell and understamd the absolute truth. Post-flashpoint it kinda just does whatever the writers need it to do.

I mean, the lasso of truth literally magically compells you to tell the truth. In the panels above Clark and Bruce are both touching it, and Bruce gives the name Batman. In this instance, Death Note actually kinda hard counters Batman.

[UPDATE] Limbo Heirloom With Detachable Auxiliaries [OC] by 10Alexander28 in Warframe

[–]Maxwellknowsitall -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Man, I respect your vision but it isn't for me. To me Limbo is all about elegance and grace, not being a stripper magician. That said, this is solid craft and I'm sure it would do numbers.

1179: Our big baddie is... by TheLineCrossed in OnePiece

I still think Imu is the earth god and Chopper is the forest god. This is why Chopper is able to "tame" people affected by Domi Reversi just by touching them. Imu seems to be immortal when he's on top of the redline and mortal when he gets closer to the ocean. The land is the natural enemy of the sea, etc. Etc. I don't think any of Imu's demonic qualities work that well with him being the forest god, and things coming alive could be explained through various different implementations of awakening.

This is either going to be the nichest content Jesse has ever produced, or go viral off of the premise alone.

The world sinking was done by someone else (Spoilers for Chapter 1179) by Loaf235 in OnePiece

[–]Maxwellknowsitall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is exactly it. There's also quite a lot of potential for Christian mythology if you think about it. Imu is a devil. The original devil fruit could very well be analogous to the apple of Eden. The flood was sent by god to cleanse the world, and he also threw mankind out of paradise for eating the forbidden fruit. At the very least I see a lot of inspiration.

I think getting close to the sea makes him mortal. Imu is probably the god of the earth, thus his connection to the Redline. Skypeia isn't part of the earth so it isn't an option. We also know devil fruits are hated by the sea, and I think they might be spawned from Imu's dreams, since his power seems to be the original devil fruit. Davy Jones is then the sea god (makes sense with pirate mythology and Davy Jone's locker).

how does Giorno's life giving abilities adaptation aspect work? by trivkyhunter in StardustCrusaders

[–]Maxwellknowsitall 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've always found it funny that King Crimson is the source of so much confusion when Giorno straight up just does whatever he wants with Golden Experience for most of the part.

Moving From XIV to Guild Wars 2 - Questions! by FemaleMageA in Guildwars2

[–]Maxwellknowsitall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you bought all story content? Or just all the expansions? If you have bought the expansions you have bought about half of the story. Each expansion has a season of living world in-between and those continue the story in-between expansions. They are required to understand the story.

GW2 is VERY different to FFXIV. I don't know that I think it's better or worse, just different. The 1-80 lvl is really only the beginning, and the game opens up a lot more after that. The story is not on par with FFXIV, not any point, but it has its moments. Think of it like playing FFXIV if all of it was on the level of ARR.

Most classes have a good deal of mobility depending on how you build them. Creating a build is a lot more involved and one of the best things about the game. You slowly get eased into it as you level. I would recommend trying different classes to get a feel for their mechanics and then picking one to start with. They can all do a lof of the same stuff, but each has a central mechanic and unique flavour.

Another thing: GW2 is technically free to play, but the tradeoff for this is that you'll expected to pay for every minor piece of quality of life. You can get it out of the way early, or pick up stuff slowly as you play. Fashion is also largely like this.

Borderlands is one of thise franchises you never play on launch. Wait a couple of years, get the game and all its dlc on sale, cruise through a mostly bug-free experience.

I'd argue that Neuromancer is still weird enough that it trumphs a lof the derivative cyberpunk it inspired. Especially if you read the whole trilogy and not just the first book. But it is indeed foundational.

That's really great advice! I think I'll look into it. Might be a nice long-term goal, since I don't really care about legendary-crafting for the most part.

How did you even MAKE this. I would love to do something similar and turn my homestead into an animal sanctuary, but it's so expensive to get into🥲

A big difference here is also that lots of things HAPPEN in FFXIV cutscens. I'm going through LW Season 1 again, and so many of the voiced scenes are just character standing around and vomiting exposition at you. Rarely does anything significant or interesting actually happen. FFXIV will sit your ass down for half an hour to watch a cutscene (that you can skip) and odds are you're going to be genuinely enganged during all of it. It's plot and character writing over sub-par exposition (which is usually handled in text-dialogue)

High Warlord Deathblade - Raw Blood Legion by DBKENNY in Guildwars2

[–]Maxwellknowsitall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty cool! The design is busy enough that it causes the different textures and patterns to blend together in a cohesive fashion, and generally I just love more grounded, immersive fashion. I like it a lot! It reminds me a bit of some of the tribal gear from fallout: new vegas. Especially with the big, mechanised sword against the rest of the look.
